Sure they offer soundtracks for free when they can and occasionally as DLC, but I'm talking about selling music of all kinds. Since DRM-free is the digital music distribution standard, it should be considerably easier to sign big publishers than in the game and movie industries. What do you think?

no, f%&#ing no! they should finally fix some forum problems, like advanced search or removing rep!
Gog is already badly undermanned with the current business as the recruit page shows, wich reflects on many issues reported in the foruns, so adding another business avenue for music atm would likely make things worse. I'd prefer they stabilize and fix alot of stuff first before considerirng expanding to other stuff.

No. All this would mean is more premium soundtracks.

As opposed to not having them at all in many cases?
Many have complained that they're unable to purchase game soundtracks here without owning the base game. Having a separate music section in the catalog and on our shelves would enable that.

GOG can do things to add value, like offer High Definition audio along with MP3/FLAC, music videos, alternative versions of songs, sheet music, etc.

No, they really should stop spreading themselves thin. Their main priority right about now should be fixing all the major issues with their service, THEN, if they manage to do that, they can start thinking about branching out again.
