And seeing as they seem obsessed with "PayPal", can anyone advise me on how to even get a fart's worth of usage out of PayPal when I've not got a damn mobile phone? It seems you cannot do anything without one on PayPal! Without a mobile to even make an account I can't even contact a human support staff member online (nvm on the damn phone I don't have) - their forums and automated FAQs are totally USELESS.

What, you don't need a mobile?

And you have a PC I assume?

If you're talking about account confirmation, you can use a home number.

I am indeed one of the few left who don't need a mobile, I think PayPal don't even want the landline number - probably reject it. Still one can try!

Why would they do that, a landline is, for security purposes, better than a mobile?

Use your landline or a friends mobile, problem solved.

EDIT: When I said "what, you don't need a mobile", I meant that as in you don't need one for PayPal.

The pain hasn't started yet, you'll then need to confirm and verify your bank account.

My bank (HSBC) is shit. Mind you, they all are. Will be kicking them in the balls in the New Year. Not much point doing all this till then!
