Lifthrasil:
wasn't Blotunga's idea that even if I was that Austrian fella I wouldn't enact an F policy because it would prevent me from being nominated chancellor after 3 F policies have been passed, making an F win much harder?

I'm not that guy though, but if you thought I was it would be a good reason to elect me at this stage.

I'm still in favour of ignoring Sir P and Carr

trentonlf: What if SirPrimal nominated Agent and we vote yes to test them?
Do you want to test 2 unknowns? We have a half-know Lift, so I'd prefer to keep at least one of the half-knows in the government.

Should Lift nominate SirP or Agent as chancellor? I’m just trying to figure out a way to test more people because as great as it would be that the first four in office were all Liberal I think the odds are that at least one is probably a Fascist or Hitler.

No, if we want to test someone, Lift should nominate someone out of these 3:
6. Supple Scene (supplementscene)
7. The Mighty Blotunga (blotunga)
8. RT-CB (v.3.2) (rtcvb32)

I have nothing against a nomination.

The joe idea was indeed that if he's by some chance Hitler, he can't risk confrontation so he'd have to pass a L. Of course if Lift is F then he can cover for his budy even if FFF come up.
If we don't want to keep rotating the same 4 people (which we can't anyway), we should put someone on test who is likely to be the next president.

No. If Lift is to test someone new, I'd say it would be rtcvb or blotunga who are coming next. Maybe scene.
Actually Hitler would never pass a F I think as it would mean instantly disqualifying himself from government after 3F enacted. So that was one of the reasons for proposing joe, but then ofc we would know nothing of the following 3 (well I know that I'm liberal, but ofc I could be a scum and say that at this point).

SirPrimalform: I was pretty clear about my dislike of ice cream, everything after that was just being coy because I knew you'd find out soon enough.

And yeah, ZFR seemed to be trying too hard. If he was liberal he'd have no idea what you were and wouldn't have any reason to be so confident about getting you elected. Thus (continuing) distrust.
avatar
JoeSapphire: Why only explain this now, instead of yesterDay when you were asked why you voted no? At that point you detailed what it was you didn't like about ice cream. When the prospect of Lifthrasil electing ZFR as chancellor came up, you didn't voice your concerns. Why?
I was just having a bit of fun in character, but really I didn't like how pushy ZFR was about the whole thing. It could have been "RVS" silliness but it made me uneasy. I must have skimmed past Lifthrasil proposing ZFR, I was kind of neglecting the game a bit. :/

avatar
JoeSapphire: The game can't go on until you elect a chancellor. Have you an idea who you'll nominate?
Filibuster! Mbwahahahahahaha!

But seriously, I have no ideas. I feel relatively blind as to who to nominate... although maybe it doesn't matter. What if I nominate a fascist and then you don't skip me?

I'm content to continue discussing for now. Who would like me to nominate them?

avatar
SirPrimalform: Well, the only way you could be sure about Joe is...
avatar
ZFR: I wasn't sure about Joe. I wouldn't have been sure about anyone else. I had to select someone for my government.

You're going in circles.
We're going in circles, it takes two to tango and all that. I haven't seen a reasonable explanation for you pushing Joe as hard as you did, you've just deflected by talking about why you nominated him. If he was a random nomination, why would you care so much that he was elected?

I'm ok with being skipped as it means I can't be responsible for nominating a fascist, but I'm also open to being part of a test if you want that.
I voted no for the same reasons I voted no on the first day. And I was very aware that my vote would be made public. Makes me question those who voted no for government 1 and yes to government 2. What changed their minds?

Turns out this is a really terrible time for me to be in a game. I'm asking zeo to sub me out. Sorry, all.

I didn't deflect, I answered that: I was not pushing Joe, I was pushing my government. I did not care so much if he was elected, I cared that I be elected.

Better myself + 1 unknown than 2 unknowns. And again if you think that pushing someone's own government is nefarious then I've got nothing more to add.

(This is where you again for the third time, ask me why I was so sure Joe is liberal).
avatar
trentonlf: What if SirPrimal nominated Agent and we vote yes to test them?
Sure. We can do that. If the test succeeds, we have more (mostly) reliable players. If it fails and they enact F, we proceed to my next government.

Or we can do that. I'm fine with that too.

You can decide whether you want to give us the option to test two unknowns (trent's suggestion) or go for a half unknown/half known government. You can't nominate me or trent. So the latter would only leave ZFR or Joe. While for the double-unknown government your choice of chancellors would be agent, scene, blotunga and RT-CB.
Well, technically only scene and agent are worthwhile to be tested by Primal since if 3 governments fail we get a random policy enacted
avatar
ZFR: (This is where you again for the third time, ask me why I was so sure Joe is liberal).
Don't worry, I'm sure you can just see it when you close your eyes.

Hmm, I'm considering nominating ZFR then. Maybe this is a chance for him to win my trust.

supplementscene: Just caught this on a re-read. It's a good point that even fascists may buy Lib-cred in the first 2 plays. But Fascists won't want to go 3-0 or 4-0 at this stage. So the next 2 tests are pretty big. Anyone cleared in the next 2 plays is probably Town certified. Where as any F card government gets locked from future governments
True... after 3 Lib's are in place it's harder to turn it around if you aren't fascist and don't get the next few plays...

Whatever you all decide.

I'll be over here with Bender drinking beer, talking about how we want to kill all humans... And perhaps where to buy lamp shades and blaster rifles at, or the latest on All my Circuits.
avatar
flubbucket: I'm not following your question.

Agentcarr16 is next to be president after SirPrimalform.

With two liberal policies passed we're okay.
avatar
blotunga: It means sticking to the devil you know and voting no for the Primal and agent governments.
Got it.....except I'm not sure we really "know" anything.
