About achievements, now they can be shown ingame. So, apparently achievements do exist. Also in Galaxy they have their own screen.

I am running the game as vanilla remaster, no patch for now.

One thing they have to patch indeed is how the cinematcs work, they do not scale well. They are shown in a limited rectangle not filling the screen, at least in my case, and the intro crashed my game the first time.

Okie was just wondering because the Language thing is definitely a workaround. And you said "now".

I remember that Sacred 2 was the nail on Ascaron's coffin. The use of PhysX elements were part of a mismanagement which ruined the company. They should have used a cheaper solution, but you can see the expansive delusions of that company here at that time. At the end, the overall development costs were too high and they couldn't cover it anymore. It is somehow ironic that these elements now got removed.

Here is the German review of the PC Games:
https://www.pcgames.de/Sacred-2-Fallen-Angel-Remaster-Spiel-75314/Tests/Review-PC-PS5-Wertung-1486277/

"The test of Sacred 2 Remaster: And for this they want money again?

The German action-RPG is celebrating a questionable comeback. With the Sacred 2 Remaster the nail on Ascaron's coffin returns on modern platforms, but it doesn't play one iota better. Why should you buy this? We don't know it."

The review mentions that it plays partly better with a gamepad than with a mouse. This says all about this remaster. They wanted to revive the Sacred series with it and develop more games. It looks like a nail was hammered again.

Yes, my fault.

RPGFanboy: So is this missing multiplayer?

idbeholdME: Invite only.

From top Steam reviews:

No Free Play so YOU CANT FARM BOSSES, only kill them once.
No Multiplayer Lobby (invite only)
No Offline Multiplayer (LAN Mode)
No Trade Menu
Cannot Move While Inventory open
No Rune Stacking
No PvP options.
Inventory Icons look awful
Less inventory space
Less skill slots
Less weapon slots
Only 2 relic sets instead of 4

Add to that crashes, completely removed PhysX elements, consolified shitty UI and camera controls along with tons of unfixed bugs that community mods have fixed ages ago to complete the package. There are also some complaints about unrebindable/removed controls and stupidly changed controller layouts compared to the original console version.

As it is, nobody should buy this until it receives some heavy patching. And of course, the original has been bundled under the remaster with no way of buying it separately anymore, which is another con.
Thanks so much for saving me money!

If you haven't seen the reviews let this thread and especially the previous comment stand in it's place, so out of the cart and into the wishlist until they patch it, if at all!

They weren't there when I made my post.

Do any of them actually unlock? There are many games on GOG "with achievements", but they do not unlock. That's why GOG sometimes omit the feature tag from the store.

[Edit01] I see the game received a new build just now too, so perhaps they did add achievements properly.

I am at the beginning, One Hour and a half, but bhe achievements I have seen probably unlock later because of the requirements and also they say "keep playing to unlock".
When I installed the game the version was labeled 1.0c, the new triggered update is 1.0d.
Yep, looks like achievements have been added. Check out the screenshot:
