Kleetus: Is that a Polish expression, never heard it before and have no idea what that means?
I wish I had optical beams, I would be a superhero.
SuperKleetus.
Look, up in the sky.
It's a bird, it's a plane, no it's SuperKleetus.
fables22: I wouldn't know, my Polish pretty bad. I mean, pretty much non-existent.
But it means to
look at how you behave and fix that too, while asking others to do the same thing. If that makes more sense.
Perfect! :-D That could be told to anyone making a complaint, every time. But that explanation (that I
underlined), not the idiomatic statement which is a bit more pretentious.
If I were using emacs to communicate with GOG members as perhaps a slightly pretentious moderator, then I'd likely put it in the register. For example, with the function `copy-to-register', to be paste-able probably with capital "C" as a mnemonic for
consoling
complaints
comfortingly. Quicker than copy/paste.
OTOH, if I was a fed up moderator, then I'd probably put in a register the phrase "Be what you want to see in the world, while being wary of assassination (from sticks and stones rather than from words), please and thank you.", or maybe set that to the auto-reply for all incoming messages and go on vacation.
