zeffyr: Only few hours left to Philae lander reach 67P/Churyumov–Gerasimenko comet!

Watch it live HERE.

I'm so excited, that's a huge step in space science :)

Fingers crossed and good luck, Philae!
Cool. I hope the next step is learning how to destroy a comet.

easy enough, just file copyright claim against based on Armageddon or Deep Impact and the lawyers will tear it apart.

Sounds like a German band from the early seventies.
Bumping that one so that we won't need a new separate thread when/if Philae awakens.
IN THE MEANTIME, let's just point out that there are chances that they have located Philae already. The rosetta blog is super careful about it, but the french CNES site is in full yayy mode already.

Awesome news, Philae is so brave! :-) Fingers crossed for confirmation of that info! :)
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAND Philae is on.

Hello Philae.
That's great news.

As for the caution/hype when related info, it's a big mess of 'Human Knowledge' tangled with politics ( funds securing ) and that's kind of sad.
