Together with our friends at ROCCAT we venture to encourage and reward the best reviews on GOG.com – so welcome to the second edition of our Review of the Month contest: June/July!

For winners from May/June – keep scrolling!

Every month, you'll be able to submit your review for any game (or games!) released within the previous month. This time, the grand prize is a ROCCAT Kiro gaming mouse:

Here's what you need to know:
—All eligible reviews must be about games that have joined the GOG.com catalog between June 1 and June 30, 2016.
—Once you have posted your review, submit it for consideration by also quoting it in this thread.
—Winners will be announced at the beginning of August, with the start of that month's contest
—The best review of each month will win a sweet piece of gaming gear, courtesy of the good people at ROCCAT. Any runner-ups will receive honorable mentions and one $9.99 code each, to be redeemed at GOG.com.
—Keep the review guidelines in mind. A good review can be both entertaining and informative, it can be brief or extensive. It doesn't need to be positive in its overall assessment of the game - as long as it's eloquent and fair (or hilarious), it has our attention.

May/June Winners!

Congratulations — and thanks for helping make GOG.com reviews awesome! Winners were chosen by vote from the pool of eligible entries. We judged the merits of the review itself – the game and rating were not taken under consideration.

Grand Prize – ROCCAT Renga headset
For being informative, interesting to read, and honest – Kengou on The Witness.

[i]Pretentious? Yes. Brilliant? Absolutely.
[...]Prepare to be astounded when you discover the true puzzles the island holds, and the realization that you can't contain the puzzles into the little boxes Jonathan Blow has placed for you to find.

Understand that this game asks a lot of you, and it doesn't seem to thank you much for it. That's because it understands - and encourages you to learn likewise - that sometimes, the very process of learning how the creator thinks is reason enough to persevere; the very act of solving is itself its own reward. Congrats to the winners! :)
So list of eligable games so far?
Considering the game pages show the original release date and not the GOG release date.
Congrats to the winners, and thanks to all for the nice reviews:)

As far as I know there is no official list, but you could try keeping track of the releases with the weekend playlists.

I didn't know that was a reviews contest.
congratulations to the winners.
For the june contest, does an early access game count if it got finished in june?
Hmmm so if I read this right... dump our review in this thread? I know I had a VallHalla review I did just a couple weeks ago I can dump here.

Also maybe Ori & the blind forest and possibly Dex...
i understand you're trying to shine a light on new releases. and that's kind of admirable, i guess?

but please open this up more. i am sure lots of people are in my exact situation, either:

the new releases don't look particularly tempting and you don't buy through that month

or

you have a giant backlog and you're playing things in that. [i'm playing loom and quest for glory 3 out of my ginormous backlog, for example] - and those titles need some review love, too.

so, yeah. i'd appreciate it if it wasn't just "what we released last month."

I've got several review from several games that I cover. Of course not via video, more like a long article, some 1000+ words. Probably my longest is Rebel Galaxy.

Others are pre-gog versions, or just older and my opinion isn't going to change much.

Hmmm...
