The Nameless Hero returns to GOG.com.

Gothic 2 and Gothic 3, legendary open world RPGs return to GOG.com!

Gothic 2 and Gothic 3 are the two final (and increasingly greatest) entries in the overarching "Nameless Hero" saga of the vast, open-world RPG series. Whether you go a bit retro with the quirks of Gothic 2, or with Gothic 3, which still puts open world RPGs to shame, you're about to venture into a world that stands open before you, ready with its reaction to your every single action. Explore the land filled with nooks and crannies, side with whoever you want, destroy anyone, or don't, and deal with the consequences. If that's not enough for you - make sure to try Gothic 3: Forsaken Gods for more hours of adventure.

The Gothic series may not be perfect, but with years of community effort it gets darn near close. Gothic 2 can be modded up to modern standards with improved mouse controls, graphical updates, and various improvements - just check out our own forum thread on Gothic series patches, mods, and tweaks. Gothic 3 had its share of issues at launch, but the immense Community Patch solves nearly every single one of them. The patch is incorporated into the GOG.com release!

Return to the DRM-free land of Myrtana in Gothic 2 and Gothic 3, available once more, DRM-free on GOG.com. The launch discount will end on Sunday, April 19, at 12:59 PM GMT.

tinyE: BTW am I the only one reinstalling the Gothic games I already have because of this thread? XD
Nope. I'm installing the first Gothic for a proper play-through. :)
Dammit, this is the Gothic bundle I wish I'd originally bought. Completely free of Gothic 3: Forsaken Garbage.
Yay! Gothic is back! Especially Gothic 2 is still one of the best RPGs ever. (not THE best, that would be Ultima 7, but close. ;-) )
Very nice vista to see these back in GOG catalogue, where they belong :)
Man, this is gonna take me a while to get my touch back. I just got my ass kicked by a wolf. :P
This is amazing news! Welcome back home, Gothic. :)
Nice to have them back.

By the way, I noticed that Gothic 2 has now a different box art on my shelf.
Buy Gothic 2!

Seriously, best game of all time, next to Gothic 1. Buy eeeet! Great for GOG.com that it's finally back (GOG.com without Gothic 2 just feels kinda wrong), and I'm also not adverse to having PB themselves as publisher.

Well, I have it constantly installed anyways. :D
It's actually one of the first things I install when I setup a new system.

I was have a very difficult time with the controls for Gothic 2. I didn't even bother looking at the threads. Now I'm excited to try it out with the enhancements.

I'm a big Risen fan. Though I've never gotten through any of the games, the 30 or so combined hours in them are really good. I always have a hard time keeping up with the combat and then it becomes too tough -- or I've just not figured out where to go. I tend to level my characters for dialog options and they get too weak in combat. I'll have to try again some time and actually make my guy formidable in combat.

Anyway, thanks GOG for drawing our attention to the mods!
Welcome back, Gothic's :)

JudasIscariot: Known issue, should be fixed once the new My Account update rolls out :) No, I do not know when it rolls out :)
Judas, since you mentioned My Account fixing, could one of you, blue guys, have a look at the issue of blank space in My Library?

I have sent a ticket several months ago and you replied you will work on it.
I just hope you haven´t forgotten about it, since I know I am not the only one with this issue.

All I can say at this point is wait until the new My Account is live and if this occurs again, then let us know :)
Gothic 2 is legendary. Even if you had to wait for it [this re-release] (just can take some time to get used to controls, but it's worth it).

I think 1 and 3 are well worth the price. I didn't finish G3 as I got slowly bored toward end, but it still gave me many many hours (50+ I think) of great fun, till I got fed up with it. Without community patch (didn't exist yet back then).

But anyway, if you like RPG games, or you are new to it, and want to try some, go with this bundle.

There are only few other options on GOG this good... (few = .. hmm... thinking about it, not that few ... Ultima Underworld, Might&Magic 4+5, Legend of Grimrock, Wizardry 7 or 8, and those are just my personal favs, I'm sure other people would add another 10 of them, even if they would post just their best of best).
'Gothic' trilogy is back in town; and just in time for the weekend, too.

Must be time to throw a party!

YAAYY!!!.
