KneeTheCap: You can remove a game from the checkout thingamaton by clicking the small "remove" button near the name of the game.

Cyraxpt: This? Doesn't work.
For me it stopped working months ago.
I cannot delete items from the cart in the menu.
Luckly I can still do it from the checkout page.

Thing is, everytime i went to the checkout page it was empty but the icon on top was still with the "1" stuck, luckly the gragar solution did the trick.
I have a question for you guys.

When someone asks you through the chat to mirror a patch for a game you don't own, is that a scam or just scummy?
avatar
Buenro-games: He contacted me again a few minutes ago, so the ban definitely doesn't affect chat capabilities.
avatar
SStefania: That's what I was afraid of :|
Sorry, gals and guys, looks like there's nothing more I can do. I have let my superior know about that, and he will let the webteam know about this specific issue, but I don't know if and when they will do something, they are really busy right now.
I also linked him to this thread, so probably letting them know if he's still around, perhaps some screenshots as well, would also help :)

avatar
skeletonbow: Are you bringing a laptop to play The Witcher 3 at the theater or...??? :)
avatar
SStefania: >Playing TW3 on a laptop
U WOT M8
I'll play it on PS4 :<

Oh, and as for Mad Max, it was awesome and every person in the world should see it. Maybe except for the people that hate action and explosions, like my mom :)
Please tell your superior to put a system in place to ban scammers and those Call 1-800-INDIA-LADIES spammers.

The rest of the forums are fine no moderation needed other than banning scammers and those Call 1-800 spammers.

Sounds like both. Think they are having you post it while they link it for pirate sites and then you would get in trouble for it.

Well let's just warn everyone about janbro130 and how he asked me (and probably a bunch of other people) to mirror the Witcher 3 patch (not the game, just the patch) to somewhere else because he apparently couldn't download it from gog.com. A game that I don't own by the way.

I've already sent the gog staff a mail.

Also, my first scammer, and he's not trying to sell me anything, but asking me stuff for free.

I'm disappoint.

SStefania: I think he wrote to anyone he could find, which makes me wonder how did he search, because Judas frequents forums, but I, not so much.
What does 'being banned' in GOG mean? Does he lose only forum privileges? Or does he lose his library also in addition of forum privileges?

I'm guessing there wasn't much of a library in this particular case.

But yes, you probably lose your library since it violates the user agreement that explicitly states you can't re-sell the games you buy.

For uploading a free patch? And i wouldn't pass judgement on that person until at least gog confirms if the guy has the game on his library or not (speaking of which, i think that an optional public user library would be better than a wishlist but that's me).

I think rwarehall misunderstood he probably thought I was being asked for a game, not the patch, that's after all, free.

That's why my first thought was that I wasn't dealing with a scammer but... your average internet idiot.

What made me facepalm hardest was the fact that I don't have the witcher 3. He's probably been asking a bunch of random people. Which is typical scammer behaviour.

Cyraxpt: AND THREE DAYS LATER i still have a game stuck on checkout...
I've had an item in my cart notification showing for a couple of days of days, but if I look at the actual cart, it's empty. The worst part is, I only added an item (Witcher 3) to the cart to test out a completely unrelated problem someone else had reported. Now I'm concerned that when I try to buy something for real, the "ghost item" will come back to haunt my wallet.

Ok, maybe i'm being naive, but if he's a pirate and he's asking for the patch wouldn't he find it on the usual places (piratebay, etc)? And doesn't he need a modified exe for the patch version? I think that the guy actually can't download from gog (it wouldn't surprise me since gog always have some kind of problem) and instead of making a thread for it he's just randomly asking people.

In my case Gragar solved it, instead of trying to do that from the forum i went to the front page, hover the checkout section and clicked on the remove.

EDIT:
Trying to download it via CDN was the really next thing i did try and it just won´t work. I already asked the support staff to look into this matter. I`ll just wait for their reply. In the meanwhile.....Ist there any way to get my hands on the free dlcs recently published and the patches (ENG) 1.02 & 1.03. After 2 days i finally considered to buy a retail version (yeah, to be honest i pirated it at first, but was amazed by the content and the love to the detail that i just bought it :D ) and now i´m really frustrated because i´m not able to launch it......

Couldn´t GOG just start a new server for the asia area or would there be any problems in doing that, like law-infringement or sth like that ?

Uhm... dunno, like i said previously it's up to gog.

If you're naive so am I, because I agree with you. Still, better to make sure.
I thought you were talking about some paid DLC or something. No clue why one needs a patch mirrored?

I edited my post with a quote and a link, he's from china and some (all?) gog content is blocked over there.
