KiNgBrAdLeY7: Does GOG try to cover losses, with this newfound "tactic" or something?
no.

To be honest, I kinda like platform games (at least, I did). Trouble is that the genre seems to have stagnated. When playing some "recent" (post-2000) platform games I can't shake the feeling that it's almost the same stuff I played in the late 80s/early 90s.

I recently played the excellent Deadlight and - despite some interesting puzzles and the great setting - it seems to be no different than a Flashback or Another World, but with zombies. It's a great game, yes. But it's more of the same.
Although I know this argument could equally apply to the vast majority of FPS in the market.

tfishell: it never got a single vote or review? wow
MaGOG says it has 23 votes. Probably below GOG's threshold for displaying or something?
low rated

Thanks! I just checked my library and it appears I bought this game at some point and has been collecting virtual dust there since. Maybe I'll play it for a bit and squeeze in a review before it's pulled.

Hopefully, the other guy can chime in as well!

hmm maybe
Seems I bought it at some point. But like far too many games in my library, I haven't played it.

Thanks for the heads up though. Always appreciated.

Putting something on sale, then proceed to announcing its removal within a very short deadline?

As of late, this be a pattern, yarr. And isn't it a bit too fishy, that so many games, in so short time, have their "licenses expired"? I mean, i 've never seen anything like that, on Steam, Origin, or otherwise.
Did you know Steam removed nearly thousand games few months back? Probably not because Valve hasn't said anything about the removal and you had to go to 3rd party sources to find out about it.

And games are being pulled from Steam all the time for various reasons. You just never hear about it. Actually in many cases you'd only know about it because GOG posted about the removal on their end (assuming game is offered on both stores). :-p

As for Ubi Store, Origin and Battle.net; they mostly carry their own 1st party titles so obviously you rarely hear about game removals there. But if license of a game they offer expires, they have to remove the game like everyone else.

Well, I care about platformers.
But not every platformer that gets released delivers what I'm looking for in a platformer.

And the ones that don't deliver, don't get bought by me. It's that simple.
The game is actually pretty good. It is a bit short though. Nothing to write home about but still fun to play. Sad to hear it is going away.

Mortius1: Ouch. Listed for just short of six years and I'm still invited to be the first to rate it.
I hope both purchasers were happy with it.
I seem to have the game in the library, but no idea. I don't recall when I bought this but I haven't played it yet.
Looking at the trailer, somehow I have a recollection... was this originally some Nintendo dual-screen game ported to PC?

EDIT: Yeap checked the Mobygames page for it, apparently a Nintendo 3DS game.

Thanks for letting us know!
I was going to buy this when it was recently on sale but I got caught up with other things. It's bought now. Thanks for the warning. You guys should put these notices with the other news on the front page, along with the releases.
Sad. It's probably in the Top 5% of my game collection

Didn't even know this existed music too grating it's a generic platformer with a Gimmick.
Should be on page 1 before it's gone
