Elmofongo: 1.Rise of the Zandalari was the most not needed and boring patch ever. But I kind like new areas Cataclysm introduced that was not destroyed versions of old zones.

2. BC came with 6 raids when it launched. WOD only 2 :P

Elenarie: Those two WoD raids have more bosses than all of BC put together. Point being?

Elenarie: Activision used it? Are you sure it wasn't the government of China?
All bosses in WOD Raid instances 18.

All Raid Bosses in WOD included outdoor zone bosses and the upcoming Hellfire Citadel raid : 33.

All Raid Bosses in BC when Launched 30.

All Raid Bosses in BC included the Raid patches: 55.

cw8: Of course. I'm a vanilla WoW player and raider. And this was huge back then. Kinda miss those days..
Raid zones were more maze like.

Is it true that back then in order to get to Molten Core you had to pass through lower blackrock spire?

Can you still do so now?

(And is it the same for Neferian's Lair with Upper Blackrock Spire?)

To get to MC, u crawled down Blackrock Mountain, down several chains, to the instance entrance. You could also throw yourself down to the lava and swim up iirc. You had to attune yourself to MC before you can just go in by doing the quest. They got rid of the raid attunements eventually. I don't even know what's the status of MC now. I haven't played since the start of Cataclysm.

For Blackwing Lair, you had to complete UBRS for the attunement quest before you can just teleport into it. Once attuned, you simply climb up Blackrock Mountain using chains and enter by clicking an orb.

I loved doing vanilla UBRS.

Well I just did it. To get to Molten Core on foot you have to go through Blackrock Depths. And HOLY SHIT was that "Dungeon" fuckin huge. How did 5 people did this dungeon in Vanilla and how did you get 40 people down there in a 5 man dungeon?

Man dungeons took a hammer these days. They are too small and linear.

I give anything to experiance WOW back in Vanilla (or in my case up to Wrath)

Heck I would like to try Everquest 1999.

Pretty sure Activision had no ties with Blizzard 10 years ago.

Oh, ye, right I forgot Karazhan. Although I am not sure how boss with 1 ability compares to boss with 5 abilities at minimum.

Raiding has NEVER been better.

1. What you forgot Kharazan was a BC raid? Well looking at it now it could have been a Vanilla raid. BC felt like it added content that was cut from Vanilla (Kharazan, Blodd Elves and Quel'Thalas region)

2. I just like the larger dungeons and non linear feel that Vanilla offered. Blackrock Mountain was a classic example of how to do dungeons. Heck I would convert Molten Core and Blackwing Lair into D&D tabletop boards.

BRD was the most annoying dungeon in vanilla and it's compulsory since you had to do an attunement quest for Onyxia in BRD to escort an NPC who WALKED, yes WALKED from his prison cell to the instance exit. I mentioned that before in one of your posts :)

You don't get 40 ppl in 5 men dungeons. U formed your own grp to do the 5 men dungeons for attunements. And in the case of certain attunements, you can somehow manage to solo them especially if you're a hybrid class like a Druid or Paly. Which is one of the main reasons why I love being a Druid.

UBRS though was pure fun and exciting to explore. 10men wiping was seriously a good experience back then since it's one of the harder instances. I love the undead 5 men ones like Scholomance and Baron, just oozing with atmosphere.

I loved Kharazan, probably one of the best raids in WoW and yes that was in BC. I'm not fond of the Outland, so coming back to Azeroth and doing Kharazan was very welcome to me. And that raid was just fun. You could play "chess" too.
