Huh. With a name and concept like that, I'm surprised this isn't by the Vanishing of Ethan Carter people.

(Generally, I let games come to my attention when they show up on GOG or in a Humble Bundle. If I do become aware of a desirable game outside those contexts, I add it to my IsThereAnyDeal waitlist and forget about it. No point in being aware of a game that's not available on my terms.) Because Microsoft doesn't backport new APIs, supporting XP is a good way to maximize the chance that something will Just Work™ on Linux via Wine without committing to actively supporting Wine's complexities and inter-version variances... and Linux+Wine is still fully supported and receiving updates.

(Not to mention, some people, like me, keep a WinXP machine in their KVM stack to complement the DOS, Windows 3.1x, and Windows 9x options.)

The trailer kind of reminds me of Blackwood Crossing, which is one of the most repugnant, nauseating things I've ever played.

It's a first person game though, and I can't say no to those, so onto the wishlist it goes.

Im using XP in certain capacities. Well a virtualized install of Win XP Mode in Win7 Ultimate.

It is certainly a jolt to use because you do not realize how quickly certain functions just became second nature with Win 7 release, It shines the light on how lazy we are getting in the name of accessibility.

Only real problem is how many modern programs either abandoned or never had XP support.

Its definitely NOT a problem as an OS. In fact its been rather fun. Sort of like the effect of playing a Snes classic is for gaming.

Damn, I only just got this in the last Steam sale; if only I'd waited because I'd rather have it here. In any case, it's great to have a DRM free release for this one. One of the best Exploration games I've ever played.

Edit: Is it possible to buy the Soundtrack separately from the game and actually download it? I avoided the Steam one because I heard it was only 192 CBR. Assuming the WAV version here isn't just converted from 192, I would like to get it here but it says you need the Game too which seems silly.
