Warcraft: Orcs and Humans & Warcraft 2 Battle.net Edition are now available DRM-free.

In anticipation of the upcoming 25th anniversary of Warcraft, we brought you the real-time strategy classics that started it all, Warcraft: Orcs and Humans and Warcraft II Battle.net Edition, including both the original Tides of Darkness and the Beyond the Dark Portal expansion. Starting today, you can once again explore these universe-defining games as they become available digitally and DRM-free for the first time ever!

The first part of the legendary series plays and feels just like the original from 1994, it’s just updated to run flawlessly on modern operating systems. Warcraft II Battle.net Edition, similarly to the release of first Diablo on GOG.COM, comes in two versions, which you can choose from the launcher. The classic one allows for the authentic experience and a fully functional multiplayer with Blizzard’s Battle.net online gaming service. The updated version comes with a number of fixes to provide full compatibility with modern machines as well as hi-resolution support and upscaling.

Also my first RTS. Good to see Blizzard approves of the "better than free" model, where you just click buy, download, install, pay, without writing .bat files to get old copies running on DOSbox, fun though that may be. Thanks Blizzard and GOG.

I cant save a play game, which means I have to start at all over again evytime I start the play. how to save games?

Warcraft 2 no longer fully loading. was working perfectly for a few days and now gets to the login/setting screen with graphics, click on any of the options and it just goes back to the desktop. Only the GOG screen stays in background where I can ciick on "play" again. Shutdown multiple times, same issue.

struggling with warcraft 2. Any suggestions would be appreciated. played several days straight, zero issues. all day when trying to login, i get to the login in page, click on Warcraft or any of the 5 options and it just disappears. Only the GOG page stays active and it goes back to giving me the green "play" option. I've updated, I've shutdown, not sure why it won't play anymore

no error message, doesn't load up and login screen disappears. Window 10 home. Display is Intel UHD Graphics 620.

it might be a DEP issue as thats the only thing that matches your issue based on a google search, try the fix suggested here: [url=https://www.pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Warcraft_II:_Battle.net_Edition#Issues_fixed]https://www.pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Warcraft_II:_Battle.net_Edition#Issues_fixed[/url]

if that fails to work my only suggestion is to make a ticket with support.

I sadly do not use Windows 10 at this time, so my knowledge on that OS is rather limited (still using Win 7)
also make sure that Windows 10 is fully updated. but I hope this helps
