rotorist: I was looking into it, but the plugin for GOG achievements is really awkward and confusing. I'll keep it in mind, but in my opinion the achievements I created for Steam version aren't really that exciting. I'd rather you enjoy the game's real content than worrying about some boring achievements :)
avatar
Alexim: I agree that one has to enjoy the game of course, but the achievements would still be a welcome addition, if only to bring the GOG and Steam versions up to par in terms of available features.

If you're having trouble with the implementation, I know the GOG staff is generally very helpful if they're not swamped with work, or I know some developers who have already worked on it who could help!
I actually have technical difficulty with this. GOG Galaxy only supports windows 10, and I'm still on windows 7 (cuz 10 sucks so bad), so I can't even test GOG Galaxy integration :)

Even if it's not officially supported, GOG Galaxy works fine on Windows 7.

It doesn't work at all for me, it just crashes immediately :(

Interesting to know. I know a lot of people who use it on Windows 7 without any problems (myself included). Guess we are just lucky then.

I was able to at first, like several weeks ago. then while working on some other issue with Galaxy, i decided to uninstall and reinstall it, and it hasn't worked since. Unfortunately I can't get any support from GOG on this.

Strange, I also use Win7 on my laptop and Galaxy works perfectly. But you can try to install the old Galaxy 1.0, which surely works on Win7 and had the same achievement system. In this thread there is a link to the old build and it explains how to prevent it from auto-updating to version 2.0: https://www.gog.com/forum/general_beta_gog_galaxy_2.0/how_to_keep_galaxy_v12_client_and_avoid_the_forced_v20_beta_update/post1

Where do you find the old Galaxy? I sure can't find it :)

Here is the link: https://content-system.gog.com/open_link/download?path=/open/galaxy/client/setup_galaxy_1.2.67.58.exe

You'll find it in the "tl;dr Checklist" section of the post linked above, which also explains how to prevent Galaxy from being updated to version 2.0, should that be necessary. :)

Patch 1.31

Much thanks to the feedback I received from folks - I have decided to also lower the health points for both player and NPC to 100 for the normal mode, so the same as hardcore mode. The purpose is to completely eliminate the "tanky human NPC enemy" problem and make the whole game more enjoyable. Update 1.31 adds this change. If you already have a game in-progress, your player health will remain at 160, but any new NPCs you encounter will have lower health.

For new game play-throughs, both player and NPC will have 100 health.

Also, for balancing I reduced the amount of ammo you can discover from human NPCs on hardcore mode. Please let me know if you have any questions!

Now, a few additional fixes:

- Added 1440x900 resolution
- Some translation adjustments
- Changed AK-47 to AKM to be more historically correct
- Changed PMM and silenced PMM magazine size to 12 to be historically correct
- Added a gas mask around Koshvoy Estate
- Added a tutorial that explains how the toxic fog works in Lake Cheko
- Fixed a Russian font issue on level-loading screen
- Fixed a bug where hostile NPCs cannot see player through doorway even if the door is open
Does this game support 4k resolutions? or only up to 1440p?
