These Numenera shape the lives of the current generation, giving birth to epic stories, deep, interconnected narratives, and fierce turn-based battles. Cast right in the middle of this overwhelming chaos, you're faced with the ultimate question: what does one life matter?

Delve deeper into the world of Numenera with the extra goodies included in the Legacy or Immortal Edition. You can also opt to upgrade later.

--In the press--

"Torment is the weird, wordy, wise, and wicked roleplaying game we've so desired during these long years of heightened spectacle" - RPS

"Cerebral and often disturbing, Torment is a rabbit hole of significant depth, where you can get lost in improbable imaginings of warped realities and existential angst" - Game Informer

"To say that my time with Torment has been profoundly personal and joyful is an understatement" - CGM

I may have missed this while quick scanning this thread and don't see it anywhere else on this website so is this vanilla Xulima or the whole game?
Thanks in advance :).

Corsairs: Apologies if I missed something obvious, but are people who received free GOG keys through the Kickstarter campaign ineligible for the free copy of Lords of Xulima? Because I've browsed to my Torment game card through Firefox and see no "Serial Keys" option there.
My understanding is that everybody who buys a copy during the promotion from GOG is eligible.

The keys from the Kickstarter campaign is for having given money to the game company, not to GOG or whoever else has been chosen to distribute.

Whatever someone is to receive for investing in the Kickstarter campaign is from the game company itself, not other distributors like GOG. If the game company chooses to deliver the game or other resources through distributors like GOG, the game company should reveal that, likely on the game company's website or a message in an email from them.

In other words, you'd only be getting what you have paid for. Therefore, no, nothing from GOG for instead paying the game company years ago for something else. And, the game company should tell how to get the other things they promised you for your contribution, if there was anything else, perhaps delivered from their own website. Try checking their website, emails, and any communication with the game company to whom you gave money. I'd say that's the relationship to focus on to get what was promised to you.

Xabyer_B: Kickstarter's key redeemed. Why doesn't this game show like owned?. It happened with Wasteland 2, and now again.

It doesn't show as "owned" so, I can't know when this games have updates. The same case happened with Pillars and Tyranny Pre-orders.

Please GOG, it's a well known trouble, how long will we have to wait? Solve it once and for all.
I figure this is because the kickstarter version is not the same as the retail version in their backend. Kinda like the original fallout games having an Interplay and a Bethesda version: you can actually own both versions. Notice how redeeming the key mentions something about it being a kickstarter key. This allows them to differentiate, e.g. add specific bonuses, like the Lords of Xulima key currently on the retail version.

Pillars had kickstarter specific bonuses that were not on the retail version. I don't remember the differences with Wasteland 2.

I also redeemed kickstarter games on GOG that do show up as owned. NITW is a recent example.

He's apparently extremely annoyed some armor DLC was created exclusively for the console as a preorder bonus but is getting sold there post release anyway and because it is he wants it to be sold post release on PC as well "because the backers got it for free":.

GIVE THIS SET TO US

"Backer's Outfit Set"

OR RIOT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
...
They must sell them . This is not ethical
...
They ripping loyal customers with it .
...
Dev response:

The DLC armors were a retail preorder bonus which Techland, the game's publisher on consoles, asked us to do for the game. We agreed to do so, but only on the condition we could offer it to our Kickstarter backers free of charge (we will be providing these to our backers very soon).

However, we do not intend to sell them post-release on any platform, PC or console. We've contacted Techland, and raised this issue with them. We did not agree to or expect them to sell the armor DLC separately.

Pretty sure the bonuses are the problem. Rather than making separate DLC for every bonus, some of which GOG will likely never offer/sell they opt to make one or a couple of backer editions of the games, bonuses included.

Basically this makes it messy since that means the 'game' they get is not the same base game that is on sale for everyone else. That's sort of fine as long as they at least make sure the backer edition applies for DLC/Complete editions they later create with the standard base game without needing extra work, though I'm not sure they have the proper framework for that.I can still imagine it not showing as owned being a thorn in many people's eyes.

Heads up backers: inXile has added upgrade keys to the backer portal.

Back then i bought the Collector's Edition. Now I received the Immortal Edition upgrade key.

There's also some backer outfit key, but right now only for Steam. They're working on bringing it to GOG, according to a forum post.

Thanks a lot, inXile!

Just curious if that means the game shows as owned after upgrading to Immortal Edition?

Nope.
Nevermind. Already answered above.

andrestoebe: Nope.
I guess it's just an add-on package with content then rather than giving you a copy of the immortal edition. Makes sense I guess since otherwise it would wipe the backer benefits if they're packaged with the backer version of the game.
Backed this and now have it in my GOG library.

Looking forward to not know about updates for this game, because KS and GOG.

Exactly like POE, WL2...

What's it called though? I only find a "Backer Outfit Upgrade" and that's only for Steam, apparently.

Which was basically that it's a deal struck with Techland and the implication is Techland isn't going to go for selling it on other platforms. Honestly, it's just meaningless items. I don't see what the big deal is here.
