What can change the nature of role-playing?

<span class="bold">Torment: Tides of Numenera</span>, the wildly anticipated spiritual successor to RPG legend Planescape: Torment, is now available, DRM-free on GOG.com!

Welcome to the Ninth World. Built upon eight previous instances of civilization, it is littered with remnants of powerful technology, whispers of ancient knowledge, and echoes of amazing feats of magic. These Numenera shape the lives of the current generation, giving birth to epic stories, deep, interconnected narratives, and fierce turn-based battles. Cast right in the middle of this overwhelming chaos, you're faced with the ultimate question: what does one life matter?

Delve deeper into the world of Numenera with the extra goodies included in the <span class="bold">Legacy</span> or <span class="bold">Immortal Edition</span>. You can also opt to <span class="bold">upgrade</span> later.

--In the press--

"Torment is the weird, wordy, wise, and wicked roleplaying game we've so desired during these long years of heightened spectacle" - RPS

"Cerebral and often disturbing, Torment is a rabbit hole of significant depth, where you can get lost in improbable imaginings of warped realities and existential angst" - Game Informer

"To say that my time with Torment has been profoundly personal and joyful is an understatement" - CGM

What did people get from pre-ordering this game, a free copy of Lords of Xulima.

Game is now released and already there is a " Get a free copy of Lords of Xulima " Bonus out.

So what did those who pre-ordered the game get out of pre-ordering, basically nothing.

Another reason never to pre-order anything.

Shame on the Developer and GOG

It is a total mess for me as a kickstarter backer. Yesterday I wasn't able to redeem the code. Today I cant even reach the code page on Inxile's web page. Looks like they altered the web page and now the "BACKERS" section is unreachable, giving an error when I click it.

EDIT: That problem is now fixed and I was able to redeem the game.

They´re sorting it out, based on InXile´s forum replies.

I also hope we, as a backers, will get the edition of the least difference in content based on how much we backed at a certain level.

So far, I have only the base game on GOG, although I should have Immortal Edition - though they said they&acute;re looking into it, so I hope it will be possible.

If you pre-orderd on GOG the key should be in the extras option for the game when you view the library. You must do so on the website however, GOG Galaxy will not let you check for the key.
Wow nice can't wait to check this one out.

I'm an old guy and here is how I remember Pre-Ordering games worked. You had a window before release to pre-order that ended a significant tme before the game came out. For instance, you couldn't pre-order it the day before it was to be released. You wouldn't get anything different than anyone else (probably because at that time, things like add-ons weren't prevalent.) You only got something special if you ordred a special edition of the game. What you did get for pre-ordering was a slightly lower price. From the way it worked, I figured it was a cash grab for the people working on the game that needed a boost in money before the game came out for what ever reason and decided a slightly less bottom line to get the money sooner was a good thing for them.

I was about to turn in, when I saw that in 2 hours, give or take, the game was going to be available to download. I started playing something else to pass the time and just now (an hour after it has been available) started downloading it. Sigh... which means people are probably level 3 or 4 by now. whimper ..... lol

You still have to buy the game.
So, the installer is only about 4GB. Can't wait to have another no life episode. Enjoy, guys :)

Perhaps you should mention in your post that the review is in French so that those who don't understand that language don't waste a click.
