It’s time to unshackle the magic.

The Mageseeker: A League of Legends Story™ is now available on GOG with its DLCs: Silverwing Supply Station, Home Sweet Cave Pack, Hijacked Spells Pack, Unchained Skins Pack, and Deluxe Edition™ which gathers the base game and all aforementioned DLCs in one place!

In this pixel-art action RPG that takes place in the League of Legends universe, you’ll embark on a journey in the kingdom of Demacia. The Mageseekers there hold the power to oppress magic-using citizens in the name of public order–by inducting and indoctrinating them, locking them away, or driving them into hiding.

But Sylas, a spell-stealing mage who has just broken free of his unjust captivity at the Mageseekers’ hands, will not stand for this.

By wielding the chains that once bound you, you must liberate your homeland from tyranny, one Mageseeker at a time.

To steal and command the magic you will use the powers that surround you, including the battlefield. From searing flames to deadly ice, mastering a variety of spells and customizing it to match your unique play style is one the core elements of The Mageseeker. It’s up to you to brandish your chains, use enemies’ magic against them or just simply bash them with fists.

But leading a rebellion cannot be done without followers. We’ll also have to find mages all across the land and recruit them to our case, allowing us to harness the power of our growing army, upgrade our base and unlock new abilities.

While you see the Mageseekers for the criminals they are, not everyone is ready for the truth. Time to battle formidable foes and align with unforgettable allies, both new and old. Only you can uncover the buried secrets of Demacia’s past, and use them to change the course of its future.

Without an opening post, the release thread won't show up in the forum.

Nothing different about them lately, just users doing a bit of GOG's job as usual, making the threads related to news posts show up on the forum, since they don't without a comment.
This game look interesting....
League of Legends
Welp, into the trash it goes!

Yikes!
Could've thought of that too, but thanks to both of you nonetheless.

Well, it'a a single-player spinoff game set in the LoL universe by the developers of Moonlighter. Looks quite a bit like it's predecessor, too.
While I loathe MOBAs, this one gets a pass. Reviews are looking decent as well.

Don't care, it still linked to LoL. To the trash where it belong.
The only review on the game card says it has microtransactions. I'm not sure if this is correct because I think this would violate GoG's rules in some way.

Can somebody confirm that?

They probably mean the various "packs" you can buy on top of the main game (just type mageseeker into search). 2 of them give you extra stuff that you otherwise don't get. You can basically pay2win in a single player game, if you feel so inclined.

Okay, but do you purchase those packs on GoG or is there a real in-game store?

I don't think so, but can't confirm 100%.
