Can anyone tell me whether there is an option to disable the voice overs? I didn't miss them in Trails in the Sky and I definitely don't want to hear American all the fucking time.

That being said I still want to buy it and take the week off to play this (and finish Trails in the Sky The Third).
Instabuy!
Looks great! Wishlisted for now until I can finish TiTS and... well, my computer is literally a toaster and it wouldn't be able to run CS even if it tried.

Literally?
Awesome, I've been hoping for more Legend of Heroes games.

Maybe there's hope for the older titles, as well.

It would be fitting, but this one is perfectly work safe :)

Chacranajxy: For anyone wondering why the DLC isn't available here, but is on Steam -- apparently, there were some issues getting it up and running on GOG, but it should be available within a couple days.

MassHazard: where did you hear that from? I was wondering why I couldnt purchase the dlc.
Seems as if the DLCs are only optical stuff. Nonetheless I also expected that they were released here simultaneously.
Domo arigato.
Can't believe its released the exact same day on GOG as on Steam, Nihon Falcom has garnered my utmost respect and I'd say they are how Japanese game devs should do business, picking this one up right now. They also have it DRM-free on Humble Bundle as well if anyone was interested but you have to pick either a Steam key or a DRM-free copy, they won't give you both.

Yes, it's only optional stuff and the most interesting of the optional stuff which was sold as DLC on the consoles is already part of the base game (see picture from following link):

and yes, that's definitely that's the GOG-version, I made the screenshot myself.

As for the delay I don't think it was intended to be release later, the announcement said "+DLC" which was removed later, I guess there is some kind of problem.

Thanks, that's good to know. I would like to have the entire series on GOG.
BTW, is your avatar a pic of a slice of pizza in a plastic bag? Or, is that the dead body of Toad from the Super Mario Universe?

It's a shame all these J-RPGs tend to have these "doll-like" teenager player characters. I guess I didn't really mind them when I was younger, but these days I prefer older and more realistic characters. Seems like older J-RPGs had more varied casts of characters ( just look at Final Fantasy 6, in example ). The game still looks pretty nice, so maybe I'll pick it up in a sale some time.

What's up with the file size? 9+ GB seems like a lot for a game with graphics on PS Vita or PS2 level. Does it have crazy amounts of content, or is it another case of less than ideal file compression?
