Alien threat [redacted].

The Bureau: XCOM Declassified is now available DRM-free on GOG.COM, 80% off until August 20nd, 6pm UTC.

The government denies knowledge but they are here. With the Cold War paranoia at its breaking point, a unit of elite operatives must investigate and eliminate the extra-terrestrial threat away from the unsuspecting public eye. As agent Carter you must assemble and co-ordinate your top-secret team, make decisions under fire, and use advanced technology to outsmart the crafty aliens in this third-person shooter spinoff to the beloved tactical series.

Pheace: From what I remember it's not so much a bug as NVidia only. On ATI it'd turn into a slideshow if you left it on, when you past things that used it.
I have Nvidia, and I had the problem.

fr33kSh0w2012: what PhysX bug I never experienced it yet?
With Physx enabled, the fps tanks as more effects are used. It doesn't really become a problem until a handful of missions in. You round a corner and, BOOM, slideshow. This is in DX11 btw, DX9 apparently worked fine for many people. Also, it's been a while since I played it, so maybe Nvidia addressed it it somewhere, but I'm kind of doubting it on a five-year old game.
It seems a fun game. Want, but have to skip, it will be for the next time. GOG bled me dry lately.
Bought! Now I need Spec Ops The Line and Bioshock trilogy! And XCOM2! And Borderlands!!!

Waldschatten: Worst "X-COM" game, still worth a buy here even though I have it on Steam
Isn't Enforcer is worst? Even Interceptor was quite fun sometimes.

I'll buy that for a dollar...or four...
Dang that environment though. Is the game moddable? People could really do something with that game with good mod tools.
Honest question (please, use the Reply function when answering me, so that I get notified, since I don't really want to monitor this thread):

I'm not really a fan of the XCOM games, old or new. It's not that I think they're bad, by any means, they're just not the games for me. Having watched the trailer, the screenshots and some gameplay footage of The Bureau, though, it definitely looks interesting; it feels a bit like a third person SWAT 4 (which I like a lot, because it struck a nice balance between tactics and action, without feeling too slow, like most strategic and tactical games tend to do, for me). And then there's the matter of the price. I'm willing to buy a game I wouldn't like all that much, honestly, if it was going for as cheap as this one is. €4?! Heck, it's practically being given away!

So, considering all that, would the people who know about or like this game say it's worth a shot? Even if the "pure" XCOM titles aren't really my thing? Could I still enjoy this one? Is the cheap promo price reason enough to not let it go past?

Thanks in advance for your time, happy gaming! :)
WTF? :O GOG, you never cease to amaze me.
Instabuy, of course! :O

MadalinStroe: I don't know what that means, I only know of Teenage Hero Turtles. ;)
That's a weird censorship.

I think Interceptor is the worst. Enforcer is so incredibly weird that it's fun if you do not take it seriously.
Ain't gonna lie, I hope eventually it'll be on Connect, because I have a bunch of Steam keys from Humble 2K Bundle.
civ 5 next please oh god
