Willy the menace.

The Adventures of Willy Beamish, a comedy point & click adventure about the lovably obnoxious kid we've all dreamt of being, is now available, DRM-free on GOG.com!

Willy is a typical nine-year-old rascal of the 90s': He's got a rad tree house, a frog sidekick, mad skateboarding skills, and an all-around mischievous disposition. The summer vacation is just around the corner but before he gets to enjoy it, Willy must handle the school bully, regain his video gaming privileges, and even save the town from a foul-smelling catastrophe.
Hey, graphically the game looks like it was developed on the Amiga.

I mean, it's cool more of Sierra's back catalog is coming here, but it being the new release every week is getting really tiring.

Matruchus: It was one of the most fun RTS games. If you played games like Rise of Nations or Empire Earth series then you would love this. Its practically based on them but also a lot better in my opinion.
I've only played the first Empire Earth for a small amount of time, but it was great. You've really piqued my interest, now! :D

tfishell: GOG why didn't you include the busty nurse in your screenshots? ;-)
That's gravity defying, looks like she might inadvertently knock somebody out or poke someone's eye out on a cold day. Is there a scene where Willy has to "suffer" through Marshmallow Hell?
YES! Thank you Activision and GOG. I love the releases of all these oldies.

Prah: Additionally, while the floppy PC version offered the option of MT-32 sound and music, the CD version eliminates that option, leaving only Soundblaster and Pro Audio Spectrum as sound options.
Aaaargh! Please god no! The game had quite good Rolant MT-32 music and effects, why would I want to play it with bleeb bloob Soundblaster music and sounds?

The Roland MT-32 version

The Soundblaster version (yawn...)

Even the Amiga version pales in comparison to the Roland version...

Oh well, at least I already have the floppy version with the MT-32 music.

i was actually going to ask if in this version the MT-32 music can be enabled for e.g. Munt emulator... Hopefully GOG includes both the CD and floppy versions, and I hope the CD version would have also CD music?

This game!!
I actually never thought it would hit our shores, I'm being serious!
Nice!
And again - like with all Activision titles - no German version. But I did not expect it to be here since Activision seems to hate Germans. Just like Square Enix does. Still glad that GOG added them even though I wont buy because of this.

According to Judas both CD and floppy versions are included.

INSTABOUGHT!

How many hours did I spend exploring this game? I even used to walk around with a backpack with Willy Beamish "inventory". OMG

Woohoo!

Is it (at least the floppy version) running on top of DOSBox, or e.g. ScummVM? (I have no idea if ScummVM supports the game, but it seems quite many Sierra adventure games are supported by it.)

JudasIscariot: It's both :) You can choose which one to play after starting the game :)
So it is not two different versions (e.g. the floppy version in the extras), but there is some kind of launcher letting you select which to play? Is the launcher made by GOG, or was it originally in e.g. the CD version?

Are they running on top of DOSBox, ScummVM or what?

I'll gladly purchase WIlly Beamish (again .. like my physical copy) for its price.
Oh, can't forget this Sierra-published classic: Half-Life.
