WildHobgoblin: Cheers!
Likewise, as you made a good point. :)
Should you consider the accompanying comment too spoilery I don't mind removing the whole thing.

Lemon_Curry: Spoiler warning!

I dare say it lives up to its title. :P

If only I had any reason to believe it's a good game. Sadly, John Hurt's involvement provides no quality guarantee.
At first I was like, "those tits!", but then I was like, "that opera!"

fronzelneekburm: A game with TITS in it. Tits aplenty!

And John Hurt.

XYCat: I was gonna ask if it's good game and I should buy it, but then I saw your post and realize that it would be a redundant question.
Yeah, I guess that's like asking if a pizza with pineapple aplenty and P1na is a good pizza.

Yaaaay! Always wanted to play this. FMV adventures are fun.
Thanks GOG!

fronzelneekburm: Literally less than 10 minutes into the game: "I'd like to change first. I brought my nurse's uniform."

Also, John Hurt just pronounced appreciate as "a-pree-see-ate". CLASS! PURE CLASS!

WildHobgoblin: Is that missing an /s ? I definitely thought it was "too much, too early" rather than "awesome" ;) ('s kind of on the nose, ain't it? Wait until you get to M.'s journal entries...).
Chapter 3 opening. Michael is mowing the lawn. With his shirt off.

You want subtlety? Look elsewhere!

(Dat mid-90s video compression, though! If this is the best version of the game out there, I dread to see what the CD-Rom version looked like.)

Saw it on the front page, purchased. I checked to find it on Steam too, but it's been a while i did not add an oldie to my GOG library; still expecting some extras added here though.... At least the pdf manual? A wallpaper....
Weird FMV 90s games is the sort of stuff I live for. This showed up on Steam a while ago but I held off assuming it would eventually be on GOG. Happy I was not wrong. Insta-purchase.

In an increasing trend for GOG, there are no extras. There is a help file within the game, though, and full text of the DVD manual can be found at https://archive.org/stream/TenderLovingCare/Tender%20Loving%20Care_djvu.txt .
Echoing what TheCollector just wrote... Thanks GOG! =) It's always great to see FMV games and interactive movies show up here. They are typically instant purchases for me. :)

Fronzelneekburm, there was a DVD version of Tender Loving Care that was superior to the Windows version. I still have it on DVD, though I remember it being a pain, in that some DVD players wouldn't store the choices that you make throughout the game properly (sometimes at all), and that would lead to the viewer watching more or less the same movie clips in the same sequence every time. When it did work it was kind of fun, though.

There was another game that felt somewhat similar called 'Point of View', released a few years later, that also had a DVD and Windows version. I only have the DVD version so can't compare, but am assuming the quality of the Windows version was also inferior.

Thank you for the manual; "printed" it as pdf. ;)
Nice, looking forward to Riana Rouge, Days of Oblivion, Blue Heat The Case of the Cover Girl Murders and Latex showing up soon.
Complete SPOILER of the WHOLE story in this video but imo an hillarious review:

Bro, John Hurt's involvement IS the quality guarantee. Even if the game were a complete pile of shit - which it most certainly isn't, even though it may not be to everyone's taste and it offers precious little of actual gameplay value - it still has one of the greatest actors ever in it. I'm not being sarcastic or anything, I think this is well worth the onefiddy asking price just for the chance to see an accomplished actor in one of his lesser seen roles.

Also, this game does some interesting things with what it shows and how it is shown. Yeah, there's titties aplenty and the whole thing has a bit of a made-for-cable softcore porn vibe, but this game actually makes you take a step back and question your own voyeurism.

It has a very unique, very clinical visual style. It deals with some mature subject matter that isn't too often touched upon - certainly not in video games.

It's a fascinating relic from a bygone era, it works on all sorts of different levels and it has one of the greatest actors ever in it. Seriously, you - and all the rest of you naysayers :P - should give it a try!

WildHobgoblin: The exploration parts are optional, it's basically a bunch of things you can look at/read (or not, if you'd rather skip it). Bear in mind, those are the only parts that you get to "do" stuff, though.
The only mandatory things are
a) the TATs (get shown pics, answer "sex!", move on)
b) a short evaluation at the beginning of each mini-chapter, stating what you think about the protags' actions in the footage shown right before
(there's no right or wrong in either of those)
Wait, does that mean what we do in the game doesn't alter the story in anyway?
No Linux support so no buy, if it gets Linux support and is on sale at this price then I will buy it.
