The prologue demo was good enough to make me preorder. Too much work now though, I'll have to wait few more hours to try the main game.
I'm certainly interested, but I'd like to see reviews/impressions of the game first.

Where can I get this demo, I don't see it here!
Oh, there's combat. :(

You should wait for Yonder The Cloud Catcher Chronicles on GOG, then (no combats, just exploration and farming crops).

Thx.

But I'm not even sure I'll like that, never really tried that kind of games.

I played a bit of Slime Rancher but I got eventually bored of it.

Officially, you have to go to https://stranded-sails.rokapublish.de/free-prologue , sign up and you'll receive the download link in mail. I didn't receive it, but the after-confirmation screen itself had the link too. Unofficially... the real "download" link is not very hard to guess. I think they should have just published the demo in store, but it's their decision.

The game itself is nice and so far delivers everything I expected so... no regret here.

Thanks for the info, I'll download it now, I have fallen for these types of games as it gives you plenty of variety to keep your brain busy with tons of tasks, like My Time at Portia!

It's nowhere near as rich as Portia. Gameplay elements are similar, but usually simplified
- farming - comparable, but there is no further processing - you either cook it for yourself, or throw it in a pot and cook it for the whole crew
- relations - you have one relationship meter with the whole camp, filled by cooking for them (there's a minigame to find out what each of them likes, so the meter fills faster - but you can ignore that, feed everyone with corn and still get max relations eventually)
- crafting - looks like there are 6 basic materials - 3 from scavenging (there is another option that I just unlocked, not sure how viable is it yet) and 3 from harvesting trees. 3 intermediate products, and that's it. It works fine, just don't expect intelectual challenge of having the right material in sufficient quantity to fullfill order in time and beat your nemesis builder
- combat - slower and you don't have any other move than running around or swing a sword. No dodge and the enemies don't drop anything unique, they have a small chance to drop something useful - usually some spice that you are able to grow much more realiably yourself, or one of the basic or intermediate crafting supplies

Compared to MTAP I don't expect to sink 180 hours into this - 40-50 seems realistic, and still very respectable.

Thanks for this, it still looks interesting though, I'll wishlist for another sale.
