From Steam:
AI Generated Content Disclosure
The developers describe how their game uses AI Generated Content like this:

We employ generative AI technologies during the creation of some assets. Typically this involves the ideation of content and visual reference material. These elements represent a minor component of the overall development. AI has been used to generate voices for an AI antagonist and a player advisor.

This, this is what happens when a game is in development for far too long with far too many DLCs. It gets infected with AI slop!
My opinion on this is entirely negative, but i'm being civil about it.

Season 09 was announced on 24.03.25, with the first expansion launching on 05.05.25, so it's not that terrible late for a new season. Besides, I'm not convinced ATM that Paradox would release a Stellaris 2 game here, just look what happened to "Surviving Mars Relaunched" - other Studio, but still - or Europa Universalis V, which IS developed by Paradox Tinto.

So these seasons, what exactly do they mean in this context? As someone who isn't really on this whole GAAS thing.

It isn't episodic content, because Stellaris isn't a show.

It isn't story arcs, because Stellaris isn't a serial.

It isn't seasonal content, because I doubt many of the planets have an autumn.

So is this some kind of thematic content pack that's centered on for a time?
Can they please just develop and release Stellaris 2 so that they stop updating Stellaris 1 so that I finally play the game?
Lost me as a customer when the bundles for previous seasons were removed from sale for no good reason. The bundle bonuses were minor things, but if Paradox is going to lean into such FOMO sales tactics, then I don't feel inclined to support the game anymore.

Essentially these Seasons are only renamed expansion passes (which bundle also separately sold DLC together for some discount).
Seriously.
