Gan_HOPE326: I've literally NEVER passed the Tydirium mission. I always skipped it. The fact that it takes a lot of (boring) time to get to the point where I would inevitably fail in ten seconds flat due to being identified (!!!) by some TIE flying bastard didn't help. That mission is broken. I'd rather fly the Death Star tunnel run ten times over than do that.

One of my favourite missions has to be the mission after that one, the last Alliance mission before the Battle of Endor. Lots of dogfighting in between capital ships. Now that's the heart of a Star Wars game for me.
Yeah, that's the problem. It takes a long time to get to the critical point in the mission and then one out of two things happens to me:

a) The shuttle is destroyed by Tie-Bombers.
b) I get destroyed because the number of fighters on station is overwhelming.

I managed to beat it before, but it definitely is one of the hardest missions in the game.

Exactly. That is why I love the Combat Sim in this game. Plop a couple of SD and Mon Cal Cruisers 5 KM apart and throw in a bunch of starfighter squadrons and you are good to go.

I only wish there was a good level editor and support for custom made missions with triggers etc. Back in the day, the only "modding" I could ever do was hack some game files by hand to make some ships flyable (like the Experimental TIEs, or even a Star Destroyer, though it's not an especially fun experience XD).

Whoa, cool. I guess the new missions take place of the campaign ones though? Since there's no obvious support for custom missions?

That would be my guess, I have never been into designing missions for XWA to be honest.
