Star Wars™ Knights of the Old Republic™ II: The Sith Lords™, an Obsidian developed sequel to one of the most critically acclaimed RPGs of all time, is available now, DRM-free on GOG.com with a 20% launch discount!

Star Wars™ Knights of the Old Republic™ II: The Sith Lords™ is set five years after the events of Knights of the Old Republic™, offering a much darker and more mature take on the period of galactic turmoil introduced with the first game. The Jedi are all but exterminated, fallen in the hands of powerful Sith Lords. You would be too - had you not been exiled for horrible war crimes against the order, your link to the Force completely severed. You drift, broken, across unknown space as the terrifying Sith threat returns to finish what they have begun. You will be made to question everything you know about Jedi and the Sith, as you strike back and touch the Force for one last time. The rest is your own history...

Star Wars™ Knights of the Old Republic™ II: The Sith Lords™ offers a chance to experience the grit and darkness of the Star Wars™ universe. Available DRM-free for Windows, now on GOG.com! The 20% launch discount will last for 72 hours until Friday, January 23, at 1:59 PM GMT.

tinyE: Has anyone ever played this without the Mods?
Yep. The first three times or so. All my recent playthroughs have been with TSLRCM installed. The mod makes the game a lot better.

I completed it without any mods.

I just realized my tslrcm is 1.6.1 and it looks like they are at 1.8.3. It would be worth it just to see the update.

Pretty big updates since then. Think the hk factory was either 1.7 or 1.8.
Eh, why not? Trying to get through my backlog this year, but I'll make an exception for this game.

Something to look forward to later. Thanks again.
How is the quality of the M4-78 mod?

I won't have the bandwidth to download it for a few days but I'll snag it now. If nothing else I can stop having to keep track of the discs. :D

and that was my next question. The FPS is notoriously bad on that planet.

It's not bad. Probably one of the better mods for either of the KOTOR games (I liked it much better than BOSSR for KOTOR 1). But it's still a mod, and still feels like a mod. A good one, but not as essential as TSLRCM. Try it for a second playthrough.

I have yet to find any really good info on it online, might hit up some youtube videos and see what the consensus is.

Thanks for the info, from what I read TSLRCM is an absolute must, so there was no question in running that. Maybe I will follow your advice and try M4-78 later and see what happens. Owned and played through KOTOR multiple times, never bothered with KOTOR II until today.

I didn't really enjoy it. It felt like too much of a drag. I liked the HK-factory, so I play through that, but M4-78 is just not it for me. Still, it's obvious that a lot of effort went into the mod, and it's well-made. It's probably just not my cup of tea - I felt like it took me too far away from the story.

Thanks, from what I gathered the consensus is quite varied if the quality is good or bad. I'm just going to try it with and without and see what I decide.
I guess I shall try that restoration mod whenever I'll get around to playing this one.
Why is Lucasfilm listed as developer for this game? KotOR1 also has this error.
I'm not planning to play this game now but just curious, anything else out there that might add to the game other than the Restoration Mod? I've that M4 planet as well.

I read on moddb something about Extended Enclave but that might not be compatible with TSLRCM but I have no idea.
