Crushing all resistance, Malak’s war of conquest has left the Jedi Order scattered and vulnerable as countless Knights fall in battle, and many more swear allegiance to the new Sith Master. In the skies above the Outer Rim world of Taris, a Jedi battle fleet engages the forces of Darth Malak in a desperate effort to halt the Sith's galactic domination. Hundreds of Jedi Knights have already fallen in battle against the ruthless Sith. You are the last hope of the Jedi Order. Can you master the awesome power of the Force™ on your quest to save the Republic? Or will you fall to the lure of the dark side? JudasIscariot: I did kind of exploit the Light Side/Dark Side system since it was mostly "OK, I'lll be evil enough to get the force lightning AND then I'll continue saving the Star Wars equivalent of kittens!"
avatar
LesterKnight99: usually, i'm the kind of person who likes to be the good guy in pretty much anything; on the infamous 2 demo, i would go around looking for people to help. it felt good.
Force lightning, dude, FORCE LIGHTNING....

Waaaaayyy better than the goodie two shoes powers you get as a Jedi :P

Also, IIRC, you can be good in the game and just put points in the dark side powers BUT if you are trying to go one way but be another, it will cost you more points for the opposite of what you are playing as so, for example, the more towards the Light side you, the more the Dark Side powers cost :)

tinyE: THIS.

KOTOR is for SW fans who suck at RPGs, like me. I suck at them and yet I play this over and over and over. I stress that it's for SW fans though because a hardcore RPG player might find it over simplified and lacking depth whereas a SW won't care because he'll be too busy blasting the soundtrack or playing around with his light sabre all while yelling to anyone within earshot, "Dude I got a red! No, man I want Green. No Red and Green! No, I want a double Purple!"

I don't consider that exploiting. There is actually one mission (the Arena I think) where the best way to get max exp is to go Dark Side but if you only do that once or twice it won't matter and you will put Mother Theresa to shame. God knows I've played it enough I have EVERY VARIATION OF EVERY MISSION MEMORIZED! XD

Uhhh...

"wave hand" you will see me as emperor.
You filthy fallen Jedi and your Force Lightning!

I went with my "Obi Wan" build for this game all those years ago (old Obi, not Ewan Obi). Always used a single saber, with decent deflection skills. Big time boosts to his Jedi Mind Tricks, intelligent and liked to talk his way out of situations.

Now in KOTOR 2, I was swinging two sabers with the best of them ;)

I deny all questioning of this game. it doesn't matter if you're green as shit when it comes to rpgs. you'll still like it.

real good game.

Crushing someone’s larynx or shooting lightning from your fingertips sounds good in theory, I guess, if you go for that sort of thing. But being a true Jedi brings its own rewards. We can provide moral support to our comrades with Force Valor, and use Stun Droid, which is like Sith lightning except it only works on droids and is visually less impressive.

Dear god what have I done with my life?

Uh huh....I can see it now.

"Yes! Due to my devotion to the Dark Side, I can now shoot concentrated rage lightning from my very fingertips!
Oh look....a kitten. It's stuck in a tree. That's not cool. Poor little thing....I'll get them down. Can't be bad all the time after all. Hmmm. That's kind of a big tree, and I've never been much of a climber.
WAIT! I know what to do! I'll get the kitten down....by shooting lightning at it!"
