The marvels of evolution.

SPORE™, an organic playground of custom-made creations, is available now, DRM-free on GOG.com, with a 60% launch discount.

At what stage does a living organism start taking its shape, absorbing influences from its environment, its parents, or its peers? For these SPORE™s it happens during their very conception when you get to decide their characteristics and traits, then see them grow from Cells, to Creatures, to an entire Tribe, to a glorious Civilization, and eventually a Space-faring people. Apart from your virtual offspring themselves, you will also get to design their vehicles and buildings, as well as determine all aspects of their eventful lives. And eventful they will be, because when you start exploring the universe, other species might try to befriend or fight your guys for intergalactic supremacy. It's a wonderful journey that begins with the versatile creation tool, but the decisions you make along the way will determine how, where, or even when it will end.

Create your own unique species and spread their influence across the galaxy with SPORE™, DRM-free on GOG.com.
The 60% discount will last until September 29, 12:59 PM UTC.

What is included in this collection?

Impaler26: Hm... isn't SPORE an online game? So is this version fully playable offline?

Also be aware of this notice on the gamecard:

"Important notice: EA Account registration is needed to access the game's online features. Please check here for details. "
Our old physical copy ran fine offline. You just don't have your game populated with things other people have created.
My computer is not okay to play spore, but WOW. It looked interesting but the DRM frightened me away. Now that it's on GOG....

The SPORE™ Collection includes:
- SPORE™
- SPORE™ Galactic Adventures
- SPORE™ Creepy & Cute Parts Pack
Interesting. Did not expect that.
Considering the DRM debacle with this game it's almost ironic to see it here. I'll wait a little bit to see how negatively offline is affected.

Online content includes optional stuff like uploading your creations to SPORE servers or downloading other players' creations.
A quick search based on Impaler's question showed those servers are offline since 2013. Either completely or only for new players. You can still import other players' creations though: https://www.reddit.com/r/Spore/comments/37fqpl/how_can_i_get_more_creatures_offline/

Maxvorstadt: It looks a bit DRM-ish.
The online tools allowed users to share creations- not actively interact with each other though. For instance you could follow a user or one of their creations. Or, the software would randomly download creations from everyone playing the game. This allowed each planet to be unique. Either way, without an account you could just play offline. You would be stuck with your creations and whatever the software might have precreated.

I am not sure the Spore servers are even active anymore, so it might not matter. I think you can download creations from the web if the servers are no longer working. *** I see someone just answered this above my post.

Spore was a slick game, but ultimately disappointed me. I stopped buying new releases after this. It is pretty much on rails until you get to the galactic phase. Very difficult to "lose" and no real "win"- except what ever goals you set for yourself. A majority of the feature Wil Wright showed off to the public and scientists never made it into the game. Still, it is not bad- it is pretty and I sunk hours into it just exploring the galaxy.

We checked if it's still possible to create new account (fresh EA + fresh SPORE account) and it worked.
Wow, great day today! Didn't this title have some really awful drm when it first launched? That was a big reason I never picked it up before.

Austrobogulator: Now do Darkspore.
Well, as Darkspore is basically an online game, ain't gonna happen.

Thank you :D
I've always wanted to try this game. Thank you GOG and EA!
It looks weird but I'll try it. Not now as funds and time are rather limited recently...
