Breath of new life.

SpellForce 2 Anniversary Edition a cult-favorite mix of RPG/RTS in a revitalized package, is available now DRM-free on GOG.com.

By the year 2007, SpellForce 2: Shadow Wars and its expansion SpellForce 2: Dragon Storm swept across the gamersphere, garnering a cult following for its mix of RPG and RTS elements in a bold, coherent, and–most importantly–absolutely fun experience.

A decade later, SpellForce 2 Anniversary Edition is here to breathe a new life into the series with a rebuilt multiplayer experience as well as numerous gameplay and bug fixes. Combining both SpellForce 2: Shadow Wars and Spellforce 2: Dragon Storm, the Anniversary Edition is a completely free upgrade to all owners of both original products, and an affordable upgrade (67% off) if you only own the base game.
Cool release, especially as now it's also multilingual. It's also not updated here yet, but I guess it just needs some more time. I also hope that the old installers will stay in the library, it's always good to go back (especially as mac or linux user who wants to use wine).
I also did not get the "Anniversary" upgrade, but own the original Spellforce 2 titles. I tried the account refresh page. Anniversary Edition page is showing a $15 buy, not $0.
I have the same problem. The game is not in my libary yet. Hope gog will fix it.
Not seeing SpellForce 2 Anniversary Edition on my account either despite owning SpellForce 2: Shadow Wars and Spellforce 2: Dragon Storm. Already tried account refresh too. Not in particular hurry so I'll wait to see if GOG gets it fixed.

Give it some time and it will show up :)

Jeah right. Just want to say it. I have enough to play at the moment ^^
But I hope we will get the german version of spellforce 1 too after a while. THQ Nordic is one of my favorite publishers at the moment....
Neat!

I had never heard of the games (and I'm not typically an RTS gamer) but these looked interesting enough to me that I picked one up (Shadow Wars) a while back on a whim / "trial" basis ;)

Had fun with it, not a bad genre mashup. I always felt I should have put a bit more time into it though. Now to decide if I should take advantage of the discount and use this one as an excuse to try diving back in.

I thought the games were pretty then but this takes it to a whole new level.

Also, have to say thanks again to GoG / Nordic. Do you guys have comprosing pics of your respective chief officers or what? Seems like we get a lot of special treatment here LOL.
Not only a free upgrade for owners of the game, but also a price decrease for new customers (base price is $14.99 now and was $19.98 for both games combined before). Well done, Nordic THQ!!!
Thinking about getting this. Not sure if my specs are up to it or not.

My specs are
Pentium G870 3.1G 2 core
4GB ram
Dir 9.0C
GeForce GT630 4 GB Ram

My main question is the GT630. Looking at the Min / Rec Req's I should have a GeForce 8800 or 560. I never understand the numbering of these things, so don't know if my GT630 is good enough (though it does have 4GB inbuilt ram).

It also appears that the minimum specs start with Win 7, but the recommended starts with XP. Back to front?

I so far have 50+ GoG downloads working without a problem, and would like to keep it that way.

Do any of you young bucks (oops, and buckesses, buckzees and Buckx's), know the answer or can explain GeForce numbering. Bear in mind I may one day upgrade to Win7.

Thanks
Thank you THQ Nordic for another Anniversary Edition.
Thank you GOG. Waiting for free upgrade.

You'll be able to run it alright, but not maxed out. I've got a similar card and it performs quite well if you let go of the fancy top-end special effects and stay in the medium/high area with the in-game graphical settings.

Grargar: Yes.
Thank you Grargar.
Not in my account yet either, but I'm sure it will show up.

Thank you Winter, (you Bastard Lunatic). Interesting avatar text btw.
A nice one. Now let's see when it shows up in the library.
