Seems similar to Exanima.
Are these the same developers?

Got the impression of a Prince of Persia had a love child with early 2000s dungeon crawlers.

Nope, but the inspiration is obvious. I'd say that Exanima is better but the chances to see it out of early access are much higher with Spark in the Dark.
This looks familiar; I think I played a demo some time ago. There is indeed a demo available on Steam and Itch.
Hm, neat. This looks like an actual dungeon exploration game.

That is exactly what I was thinking at first! lol

Though this one seems to be so much more fleshed out even at this stage. But the movements are so similar that it hits the recall memory right away heh. Though the movements are much more fluid from what I'm seeing in the video.

I was going to wishlist it, but seems I already did some time in the past. Maybe it was in the "Coming soon" stage back then. Glad to see that it's moved on to the EA stage. Hopefully it won't be too long before it's in the Release stage.

They made a great trailer to advertise it. This is how developers and publishers should do it to catch people's interest. :)
.
Spark in the Dark seems very similar to Exanima or what the name used to be for it Sui Generis. I love these types of video games and I am very happy Exanima looks to have competition now. I will purchase this when I have time. I have to many video games to play right now and it just keeps growing and growing by the number of video games getting released for sale. The mods for these types of video games being made should be very nice to see. There is a mod for Exanima that adds like a million different new types of stuff. Also the physics in Exanima are very nice to play with.

You must have replied before the correction was made from Ex machina to Examina, I think that hit my funny bone lol.

I don't own Examina, though I always wanted to, but hesitated due to the incredibly long EA period. If the developers communicated something on GOG from time to time, I may have at thought about buying it while still in the EA stage. I still keep it on my wishlist though.

I can thank Soul Saga (one of my most regrettable purchases, which I've yet to redeem and maybe never will /sigh I can't even bring myself to trade it haha, I'd feel bad for the other person. Prodigy Tactics is another, but at least I didn't purchase that one yet) for my cautiousness when it comes to EA games.

To me, this game seems more fleshed out and smoother in how it handles combat than Examina. Of course, I only have gameplay trailers from both to compare such things. People who have tried the games (or the demo in the case of this release), would be able to tell for sure.
.
Edit: I thing I forgot to add and another reason for hesitating on Examina. I was worried about trying to get used to too much realism when it came to it's physics. Since I'm no longer as nimble with my hands as I used to be in the past. So games like this may be easier to handle for me.

Spark in the Dark looks fantastic in the trailer.

Because the original PoP was and is great ;)
Interesting having a dungeon crawler that's not first person.
