I guess I'll always be.

Soldier of Fortune, Soldier of Fortune II and Soldier of Fortune: Payback are now available DRM-free, only on GOG.com. Get all three games together for a 15% series discount.

The acclaimed FPS series returns!
In the first two entries, you'll take the role of John Mullins, a mercenary who possesses a very particular set of skills, skills that make him a nightmare to bad guys around the world. Take out terrorists and stop their nefarious plans in the games that helped pioneer body region damage when hurting enemy sprites.
The third game in the series puts you in the shoes of Thomas Mason, a freelance mercenary going up against an enemy that can only be tackled by those not afraid to get their hands dirty.
Is this working with the Gog version ?

Also can i play user created maps with bots ?
Thanks for this release, GOG.

Any chance that we now get to see more classics from Raven Software?
Great to see these on GOG even if I do already own them at least others can experience John Mullins story. The first two are great but Payback is really bad. Payback was just a game that Activision slapped the SOF licence on so no John Mullins or Raven Software. Graphics look okay for the time but the physics are wonky. I also remember the last level being set on a disco dance floor. I mean what was going through their minds? It begins as a COD rip-off and ends as a parody.

I do hope one day we can get a proper third game.

well the original and sequel were as good as it was ever going to get, because it was based off a magazine of the same name. https://www.sofmag.com/

The first two games were based off the life of John Mullins.

No really. He was behind the games, the games are about him. He offered his knowledge and experience for the developers to make the games realistic. The third one obviously he wasn't involved with as I previously stated.

Just to clarify the first two games were indeed based on the SOF magazine but more specifically the life of John Mullins which is why he was the consultant ofn those games. The third game was an unrelated game Activision slapped the SOF name on which is why John Mullins isn't involved.

the second one was cheesy, as sequels are to make it all seem silly

Why not just Activision put Raven Software out of its misery, its like radical entertainment, their not developers anymore just zombie support teams.

The first game is very arcade like, not very realistic. Mullins wasn't too happy about this, thought they could do better so for the second game he took more of a creative role on it to make it more realistic. The second game is definitely more realisitic than the first.

I freaking love this game, both 1 and 2 are phenominal. In my opinion these are probably up there as the most underrated shooters of all time.
