No jokes that way.

Serious Sam's Bogus Detour, a frantic top-down shooter with chaotic co-op and versus modes, is now available DRM-free on GOG.com, with a 10% launch discount and GOG Galaxy crossplay support. Owners of another Serious Sam game or Hammerwatch get an additional 10% off.

Sam is not joking around, as the monsters littering the beautiful pixelated locales of the Mediterranean are about to find out. Team up with friends to tackle the campaign and face the Survival challenges in co-op or turn your miniguns against each other in Versus mode - Bogus Detour is pure, breathless fun any way you slice it.

The 10% discounts will last until June 27, 2PM UTC.

Watch the hilarious trailer.

Damn straight. It's available for Linux on Steam, why not here? ...
Multiplayer Notice: Please note that the GOG Galaxy Client is required to access Multiplayer
This probably explains it. Galaxy's fault again

I guess it'll eventually arrive here at some point, maybe they're testing it? Having said that, the game looks like great fun especially with co-op in mind.

It's obviously the same as with "Descent: Underground":
Devs sadly made multi-player client dependent, client only available for Windoze.

I still hope Galaxy will never come to Linux so that the installers stay clean.
Alotta potential here. I played through a bit of Serious Sam's Bogus Adventure and liked what I've played.

My only gripes so far:

No Linux support...yet. And, yes, with the Linux user base growing, this is a biggie.
Multiplayer is only via GOG Galaxy. "Couch co-op" would work really well with a game of this ilk.

Agreed.

With games like Serious Sam's Bogus Adventure and Hammerwatch, "Couch co-op" is ideal. Look at Towerfall - it's local co-op is fun as all Hell.

I have Windows 7 and Linux Mint 17.3 dual booted, so it ain't much of an issue. Nonetheless, watching Linux users get the shaft is getting really old. It's corporate cronyism and I'm sick of it.

No local co-op? Seriously?

It's the reverse-Overcooked effect!

And here I was interested on the tile, thinking it would be great for inviting friends over. Oh well, ignore it is then.
Kinda odd they advertise the game played with two people on the couch when the option is impossible. Could've been a good game with the nephew for the weekend too :(
My wishlist for this game

1.) local co-op/pvp
2.) Multiplayer is available online via GOG Galaxy, as well as via LAN and Direct IP. All multiplayer connection methods are cross-compatible with the Steam version of the game

I will only buy Serious Sam's Bogus Detour if the game contains one of these two points. Games are not DRM free if GOG Galaxy is required for multiplayer connections.

A great sample how it works is War for the Overworld. I bought this game incl. all DLC's to support Brightrock Games for this great game and the perfect solution for the multiplayer connection.
seems great! but as already stated by others above missing local coop is a bit "sad"
Any Serious Sam experts in here? As someone who's never played any of the games in the series, I must say the number of installments available and their naming is quite confusing. Serious Sam First and Second Encounter, First and Second Encounter HD, Classics: Revolution, Serious Sam 2, Serious Sam BFG, and then all those indie titles ... What are the differences, which games did you think were the best and which ones should I stay clear off? Are they all just arena / arcade / wave based shooters without much story to it? Do some have more varied gameplay, opponents and settings than others? It seems most players prefer the classic non-HD first game, and the HDs and Serious Sam 2 aren't that well liked - why is that (disregarding any issues related to DRM)?

my thoughts exactly.
ideal game for couch co-op...just without couch co-op.

but more importantly: where is Serious Sam 3 ?
