Septerra Core: Legacy of the Creator is a classic, turn-based adventure RPG presenting a steampunk world where the laws of nature work in strange new ways, allowing continents to orbit at different elevations around the planet. Living battleships float overhead and Junk Pirates roam the darkness. This is a world whose very Core is a living computer, quietly watching over the fruits of its master’s creation.

Linux? That's new, I think. Haven't been updating my library as regularly lately, so maybe I missed when it happened. [edit: Oh, I see. I just ignored it, since it's just the Windows version packaged with Wine. It's in my notes, but I completely forgot about it until looking at the pages again now.]

Septerra Core is/was great, in spite of real-time combat and a downer ending (for me). At least, unlike the Final Fantasy games from which the real-time combat was lifted, the combat pauses when you hit a key in preparation for giving a command, and there is no additional gratuitous random delay between command and execution. Summoner 2 did a better job with that sort of ending, though.

And yet you still are only offering the English version while Steam also offers the German one.
(Which is especially strange in this case since TopWare is a German publisher)

Going by how long it took for the extras to be made available for purchase - sometime in 2031, possibly maybe?
solid :D

Assuming you're actually talking about ATB rather than what most people usually mean when they use the phrase "real time":

The reason for the delay is that, when entered, actions go into a queue. Then, the actions are performed in the order they enter (possibly with some delay due to casting time). This works reasonably well, except in FF6/9 where time does not stop during animations, and as a result enemies will be adding more attacks to the queue when other enemies are attacking, resulting in the queue becoming rather full, so it can take a while for the character who you just entered the command for to finally get a turn.

(Exceptions in the FF series: FF4 GBA doesn't seem to actually use a queue; many of the turn order issues (and turn starvation issues) in that game are due to this. In FF7 (maybe FF8 as well?), I believe limit breaks jump to the front of tue queue.)
I already bought the game, maybe this is a sign I need to play it?
Had base game before. Have its DLCs now. Job done.
This is why I don't purchase new releases as with GOG not having a simple upgrade option you end up with holes in your store entries. Only now this is years later so how long should I wait? I did not need to purchase it at the time as I already have it on disk.

It's also perplexing how the deluxe edition is just over half the price of the standard one yet neither are on sale and costs just shy of 25% more than the deluxe content at normal price. I don't know why they're still trying to milk a 23 year old title rather than just releasing a standard all included version.
