Snow must go on.

The Beast of Winter, a DLC pack for Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire is now available, DRM-free on GOG.com.
Incidentally, this is the perfect opportunity to get into Pillars of Eternity II with discounts up to 25% until August 9th, 5pm UTC.

Travel beyond the edges of the Deadfire Archipelago, to a frozen hell where only the brave and the foolish dare venture. Summoned here by the worshipers of the god Rymrgand, you will battle ungodly beasts and an ancient dragon of world-shattering power with the help of your new companion Vatnir, a priest of the god of entropy and disaster. Will you stand up to the challenge, Watcher?

Together with this release, Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire got updated to version 2.0 today, plus it received a free content pack, The Deck of Many Things. It adds a mysterious, treasure-carrying merchant ship that you can trade gold or blows with! Top-shelf booty doesn't come free, you know.

Note: The Beast of Winter is also part of the game's Season Pass.

hchilde: I can understand that the version for linux is delayed but I think that, at least, we deserve some explanation.
Should be pretty obvious why. They either didn't have the time or they ran into a snag. They'll most likely talk about this more when they know better when the linux version will be avaliable. They obviously want it out ASAP just as much as you do.
For those that haven't spotted the update flag linux version of beast of winter is up along with a patch for the new version.

that is good of course.
but can anyone imagine oposite situation? like:
"we have a blocker bug in win version, so let's release linux/mac for now and keep mouth shut until win version got fixed!"
i don't think so - whole release would have been delayed...
Just finished it. It was decent I guess, kinda sucks that they didn't increase the level cap though, went through all of it and didn't get more powerful (though that's because my party was at level 20 and I just turned on level scaling to play the DLC).
