One Hell of a time.

Painkiller Overdose, the intense stand-alone expansion to the acclaimed FPS of exhilarating carnage, is now available, DRM-free on GOG.com, with a 80% launch discount.

Grab a badass-looking gun. Use said gun on the first ugly face you come across. Keep blowing up uglies and watching things explode. Don't turn to look - it's not what cool guys do. Pick up some health, then run towards the next demonic horde. Blast, jump, strafe, annihilate. Emerge on the other side covered in guts, blood, and sweet sweet adrenaline.
This frenetic action and unapologetic gorefest are the pillars of the Painkiller Overdose experience, along with a delectable selection of eccentric new weapons and over 40 hellish monsters and bosses, spread across 16 levels of non-stop killing. Claim the power of a demi-god and make Hell a (slightly) better and less crowded place.

Get your adrenaline flowing and blast your way through countless monsters in Painkiller Overdose, DRM-free on GOG.com.
The 80% discount will last until October 24, 12:59 PM UTC.

Unless it's the restrictive antivirus or Live user account on newer OS system, that's the reason why use Local one. I never had parental control issue with this game on Win7/8.1/10

For that price, sure why not? I have only played the first level on the original game so far, though.

ThomNG: We're not making the rules about youth protection in Germany. However we are taking care of our games and trying to get some off from the index - just happend on Red Faction: https://www.thqnordic.com/de/article/thq-nordic-macht-den-rotstift-ueberfluessig-red-faction-nach-nur-13-jahren-vom-index

Cheers
Just ignore dick eater . Glad to see Overdose on Gog .
I've been looking online for a solution to this Parental Control bug in the game, but all I could find was this forum where people are encounting the same error message, but with no fix for the problem.

Try to find the Game Rating Systems setting and see what it is set to on your system. You should find it on the left side of the Parental Controls control panel.

I switched it to other rating systems but unfortunately the game still won't launch. :( Did this used to be a GFWL game?
Oh, german not ;-)
Well, still play it on Steam so no loss.

blotunga: I mean it's on Google Play, why shouldn't it be here?

ThomNG: There is no reason why it shouldn't be here, correct ;)
Great! I hope the first one shows up too. :) Quite a few votes here for both - https://www.gog.com/wishlist/games#search=imperium&order=votes_total

Yeah, GOG needs to get the Imperium Galactica series!

Anime-BlackWolf: Can we expect titles like "Red Faction II", [...]

HunchBluntley: Red Faction II has been here for ages.
Yes, I have it myself. But it still is indexed and at the moment region locked for germans.

This can be changed, see "Red Faction I". Those titles should be delisted if possible, so they are available for all users again, germans too. :)

tinyE: why?
Because of what that metroid did. Gets me in the feels every time.

I hated them because they were so damn fast. That was the very first game baddie I ever recall that could come at you from any angle at any time.
80% launch discount, not bad. :D I can't remember to have seen such a launch discount before. Hard to resist when the game runs on my system. As Painkiller Black Edition runs quite well under Linux/Wine, has anyone tried Overdose under Linux/Wine yet?

Edit: At this price I've tried the game myself. The intro works but when you start a single player game it crashes. I'm not sure what they have changed in the engine compared to the original game that it now crashes under Wine. :(

Daniel_M: The "funny" thing is that there is a separate German installer but the game is blocked for German IPs
Not for Austrian and Swiss IPs though.
Will we ever see "Painkiller Hell & Damnation"? The only Linux compatible Painkiller.
