<span class="bold">Outlast 2</span>, the terrifying sequel to one of the most acclaimed horror games in recent memory, is now available, DRM-free on GOG.com!

Introducing a different setting and cast of characters, the sequel plunges you right back into that same twisted universe where evil reigns supreme, this time feeding on raging superstition and blind zealotry. Your wife is in danger, your camcorder batteries are dying out, and something sinister is closing in. Should you run or try and stand perfectly still?

For more nightmare fuel, check out our <span class="bold">Haunted Horrors Sale</span>, with plenty of horrific treats up to -90%.

--Reviews Roundup--

Still too scared to try Outlast 2? Here's what some well-known outlets have to say about it:

God is a Geek declare <span class="bold">that the sequel is 10 times better at scaring you to death</span>.
PC Gamer found that the game <span class="bold">"excels as a beautiful, brutal journey through extreme spiritual anxieties"</span>.
IGN calls Outlast 2 <span class="bold">"a terrifying sequel that build upon the scares of the original"</span>.
Destructoid got deeply disturbed by Outlast 2, calling it <span class="bold">"harrowing" and "a horror game that will make you want to take a shower after you're done with it"</span>.

Watch the nightmare unfold.

Nice release. The original game wasn't my kind of thing, run and hide when you can whack the enemy over the head? No thanks. But no doubt it'll make an interesting stream on Twitch.

Any chance of getting Outlast for free for a limited like it is on the other DRM-free store...?
Or at least have the first game on Connect would be nice...

Does this have the same exploitable A.I. as the first game? You know, being able to get in their faces and bait attacks that miss so you can run past them without getting hit?
Can't imagine how scary can be this one be after the first game! :D
Please put it on gog connect. I can only purchase from steam because my card doesn't offer international purchase.
Outlast 1 was a lot of fun! Has anyone tried the sequel yet?
Dying Light (not classified under USK and instead listed A by BPjM which means you can't put up ads for the product) can be bought legally in Germany by a person of 18 or above.

This game (USK18) can also be legally bought in Germany by a person of 18 or above.

Yet on GOG i can not buy Dying Light but instead Outlast 2. GOG rather violates USK law here (and in all USK18 instances) instead of implementing age verification. Seems a really, really hard thing to do lol
Not my cup of tea, a horror game which leaves you completely defenseless the whole time. I wished for some weapons.

Penumbra 2 did benefit greatly from the removal of the weapons Penumbra 1 had. It's a matter of taste, but I think helplessness adds to fear. What you can fight or even kill you don't fear as much as that you only can hide or run from.

Sadly, Outlast 2 doesn't come for Linux (yet?). Since Outlast 1 and it's addon Whistleblower do, I'll buy them right after writing this.
I REALLY loved the original Outlast, but I found Whistleblower to be a rather underwhelming more-of-the-same-but-try-hard-edgier affair. And since this one is more than double the price at which the original game premiered here, I'll try to keep my hype in check and wait for a price drop.

Thanks for bringing it here anyway!
