Opus Magnum is now available, DRM-free on GOG.com with a 10% discount until February 7, 2PM UTC.
Alchemy is an esoteric science that fuses artistry with practical engineering in fascinating ways. Anataeus Vaya is a master in the field but when dark secrets start crawling out of the woodwork, he must face the ultimate puzzle: how to assemble and modify his transmutation devices to prepare miraculous concoctions in the fastest, most efficient manner possible. Tick tock, Anataeus. Tick tock.
Was critical about GOG not releasing this in the past, but time to put my money where my mouth is. Just bought.
'Nice to finally see this game on GOG!

Oh...

Not to rain on anyone's parade, but I just compared the Steam description with the gog description. If these are to be trusted, gog is missing the following features:

- Achievements
- Workshop
- Cloud
- Leaderboards
- Includes level editor

Also, the following bullet point is missing from the gog description:
Steam Workshop - Make and share your own puzzles with full Steam Workshop integration and an easy-to-use puzzle editor. Play the top user-submitted puzzles in the prestigious Journal of Alchemical Engineering, curated by Zachtronics!
I can live without stuff like achievements and cloud saves, but a missing editor would be a deal breaker for me. Is it included or not?

It's got Galaxy integration, so it's possible there are 'cheevos and most of the other stuff. I just grabbed it, but I'm at work and won't be able to install until tonight. If you haven't gotten an answer by then, I'll check it out and let you know about the editor.
Yeah, finally ! :D
Thanks for both GOG & Zachtronics for this release :)

Didn't see the game yet, or check any facts, but just from your citations it looks like the editor is using steam workshop library heavily, thus it will be obviously missing in versions for other shops, like GOG. That's the price for developers accelerating their development by using 3rd parties code, like from Valve. That will also make it much more difficult to preserve/keep-running the modern games in few decades, as they will need fake cloud/steam servers to keep them operational at least in basic form (even with missing true functionality).

I'm going to work right now so I don't have time to actually play the game, but I did install and fire it up. There is a puzzle editor that I was able to interact with.
It's good GOG finally reconsidered. But I have to say, this silent nope-to-yep shift does little to fully restore my confidence about the platform. Any amount of words clarifying what happened would be better, even as much as "it was just a misunderstanding" or whatever. In absence of such, every time another seemingly alright game won't make it to the store, I will inadvertently wonder: is the strange, obscure review process to blame again?
There we go.

Just downloaded the game, can confirm the level editor (called Puzzle Editor) is available in game. I believe everything else is not. I'm pretty happy with having just the level editor, the rest is just modern day fluff I don't really care about.
Cool. I guess all that bitching and moaning helped after all. ;) I was holding off on a purchase elsewhere due to still being in the middle of Infinifactory (while hoping it may still show up here), but now... instabuy! :)
awesome. so glad this is here. :)

My guess is that we can make levels but they have to be manually shared. That's to be expected, GOG doesn't provide a "workshop".

Obviously never going to happen, but I'd love to hear what the hell GOG was thinking before.

Not interested in this game personally, but it's good to see that GOG changed their minds in this case (having presumably missed out on most of the early sales :P ).
