The great evil war.

NecroVision and NecroVision: Lost Company are now available, DRM-free on GOG.com. Get them now 66% off each or together for 80% off.
Many evils are born of war: Death, destruction, despair, demons. That's right, while we were too busy fighting each other during WWI, an army of demonic undead emerged from the darkness to tear everyone apart. Thankfully, you can shoot them back into their black hole, first as a heroic American Soldier in NecroVision and then as a German trooper in the prequel NevroVision: Lost Company.

Note: The games do not support any multiplayer features.

The 66% and 80% discounts end on November 12, 11PM UTC.

Watch the trailer for NevroVision.

Check out NecroVision: Lost Company in motion.

This is one of those games that I put on the backlog and never got around to playing.

I didn't even know there was an expansion\prequel! Cool to see both on GoG

That being said I know it's an run n gun action shooter akin to Doom, Quake, Serious Sam etc, but I'm a bit of a lore\canon\backstory hound regardless! so myy question is what would be the OPTIMAL sequence to play this story wise? Now that we have the opportunity to, would it be actually better to play the prequel first BEFORE playing the original where the plot/story is concerned? I know it's prolly not THAT big of a deal but humour me if you will. ;)

Anybody who's played both games extensively care to share their thoughts? Thanks in advance. (Interested in purchasing at least one first)

You should start with Lost Company. IMHO, it's better, because less of that "underground vampire empire" bullshit (and lore-wise it IS bullshit). But parts with WWI with supernatural elements are quite good in both games.
And word of advice - pistol and trench club are killer combination, far more fun & effective then most of the guns.
Oh, and btw: This game has imo one of the best easter-eggs of all time. I don't want to give too much away, but: It's a famous writer who actually fought in WWI ;)
Something in the vein of Painkiller with a nominal launch discount of 80%... it's hard to resist. :)

But why do I always get a lower discount in my local currency? For me the base price of the games in US Dollar is 5.91 and the discounted price is $1.18 which actually matches the 80% discount. In my local currency the base price is CHF 5.79, but the discounted price is not 1.16 as it should be for an 80% discount. Instead it is 1.19. The difference is small, but it's a question of principle.

Thank you Yunipuma. That's just the kinda suggestion I was looking for! Prequel 1st it is then!

I've started N:LC, but it was fun enough to make me come back to GOG store and grab the first N too. I hope it's not that worse.

By the way - game runs perfectly on Linux/Wine for me (however it seems that not for everyone - check Judas-Linux thread for details).

You should say it's original Necrovision, not Lost Company you are talking about.
And, btw, that was quite good easter egg :)

Yeah, right, it was in the first game (forgot to mention it since I've only played the first one). :)
For anyone who missed it or had the website misfire on the Gift button like I did, the bundle is still available for $6.94 US.

edit:...which is 42% off.

On sale again, about $3 for the bundle, think I’ll take the plunge this time.
