The great evil war.

NecroVision and NecroVision: Lost Company are now available, DRM-free on GOG.com. Get them now 66% off each or together for 80% off.
Many evils are born of war: Death, destruction, despair, demons. That's right, while we were too busy fighting each other during WWI, an army of demonic undead emerged from the darkness to tear everyone apart. Thankfully, you can shoot them back into their black hole, first as a heroic American Soldier in NecroVision and then as a German trooper in the prequel NevroVision: Lost Company.

Note: The games do not support any multiplayer features.

The 66% and 80% discounts end on November 12, 11PM UTC.

Watch the trailer for NevroVision.

Check out NecroVision: Lost Company in motion.

Samet42: Back then forbidden games were available from "here". GOG changed it - because idk.
Germany was the problem, until someone convinced the BPJM not to put Mortal Kombat X on the Index.
The game now serves as a prime example for fantasy violence. The argument was that todays youth grew up with games and is able to distinct fantasy violence from realistic one.

Many old games were released from the Index, when publishers requested a reevaluation. But many are still on the index (especially those in licence limbo).

The reason why gog removed many indexed old games from the german store, was that the BPJM got a new leadership and i guess she wanted to make an impression by pushing the given rules. The new law was established a few years ago, to also include online-download stores, before that indexed games on gog and steam were a grey area. The old administration did not enforce these new rules however, maybe because they didn't care about old games that didn't even appeal to younger players.

I wonder if these games are too hectic for me and demand faster reflexes than I have nowadays. Anyone able to tell, do you need lightning fast reflexes in these? Price is affordable right now when buying both.

I only played the first one. As far as I remember, it is a rather slow game. It felt like you have to fight for every step forward.
Played on my old PC, can't wait to play on my current machine. Final challenge map will be glorious.
WW1 done better than BF1.
Rifles, kicks and barbedwire.
Is Lost Company cut in the german store?
Because the uncut version is indexed as well so i'm very confused about this
love the old war theme, games looks pretty good, wishlisted
Very nice releases, instabought. Thank you so much 1C and GOG team! <3

Now please do something about Cryostasis and ObsCure games. :)

I had no idea these games existed, but after reading they are set in WWI I bought them at once (now I hope they run well on Wine... :P).

Off-topic: to any WWI buff around here who hasn't done it yet, leave everything you're doing and go subscribe to this glorious Youtube channel. Hurry up, there's just one year left before it ends!

Only Necrovision 1 is on the index.
Necroviision: Lost Company is freely advertiseable and a regular USK18 title in Germany.
The cut version of NV:LC only exists, because the publisher feared it to be indexed again, which did not happen.

Gog usually never releases cut versions (if they would, many censored versions of indexed games would be available in Germany on gog).

It is still possible, that a German language selection will also apply the graphical censorship, so play the English version to be on the save side.

viperfdl: Necrovision was interesting at least the beginning in the WW1 trenches. Later in the vampire world it becomes generic in my opinion.
Dito. It was interesting and kind of unique since there aren't many games which feature WW1 as a scenario and I enjoyed the first half of the game. But when it switched to the whole underground / vampire thing, it started to suck. Also because the story, which to this point already hadn't made much sense to me, eventually became totally confusing and boring.

GOG do sell censored games:
Fallout 1 removed children.
Agarest: Generations of War 2

I am curious about your source here. Because the BPjM does not index any games by themselves. They have to be asked to do so. There is a difference between rating and indexing a game.

Not true. GOG usually sells the saame versions that are officially available. So if a certain game is censored in a certain country it is censored on GOG as well. One example of this being GUN.

guppy44: (..) Yes, I'm a rare one who buys Call of Duty games solely for the campaign
avatar
Vythonaut: There's nothing wrong with that; i've been playing COD (#2 & Modern Warfare) just for the single player mode and i enjoyed the story in both games; in fact, i enjoyed the story & atmosphere in Modern Warfare a lot and replayed it several times even though the gameplay isn't what i'd call "perfect" (my biggest gripe was the health regeneration and the quite unrealistic number of enemies spawning, but it was fun overall). As for the multiplayer, i played for 5-10 minutes, didn't like it (i still prefer a Counter-Strike/ UT match over anything else). And while the pricing may be too much for such a small campaign (especially if you don't plan on using the MP portion of the game), it's worth it to get it discounted. Too bad the whole series are missing from GOG.
I agree. I have every Call of Duty with the exceptions of Infinite Warfare and WWII. The classics are still my favorites, but the Modern Warfare trilogy is quite nice as well. I never got in to the Black Ops series or the future-based ones like Ghosts, Advanced Warfare, etc. as much but still wanted to play them. It would be fantastic to get the original two games here along with the United Offensive expansion.
Can't argue with that price.
