Honor Mizrahi was just an actress on a hit TV detective show. But when her boss ends up dead just minutes after he fires her, she finds herself starring in her own murder mystery. Murder by Numbers is now available DRM-free on GOG.COM with a 10% discount until 13th March 2020, 2 PM UTC.

omega64: Different developers/publishers I assume?
Sure. I'm rather surprised that games from genre usually considered here as too-niche/mobile/etc. are released and we still don't have such complex high quality crpg games which perfectly fit GOG game catalogue...

Ah, I suppose. I'm glad we're still getting VNs/puzzle games at least.
I remember seeing this and being really interested, but I have no faith that I wouldn't get stuck on one of those puzzles and never ever finish the game. Love the art style, though.

Hikage1983: Naw, Kotodama is more like a mystery novel rather than a dating sim. In fact there is zero dating in it.
Kotodama also has zero entertainment value!

(PQube put me on a blacklist for daring to criticize it, so I feel the overwhelming urge to take a shot whenever it comes up. Which isn't often.)

RyaReisender: I don't even know what Picross is but the game has a nice OST.
Same composer as the Phoenix Wright series ...

I picked this up on Switch on Thursday so I could play on my commute.

S ranked the first story and have started the second ... enjoying it immensely so far with the type of humour in the dialog.

Some of the picross puzzles are seriously tricky as well ...

Maybe GOG is thinking that one is selling and the others not. Curation will always be subjective that's unavoidable. Some people will always complain whenever GOG choses one game that is not up their ally and asking why the game they would like to have is not chosen. There is no right or wrong in curation it's more of a hit and miss situation. GOG might make the right decision and they might also be completely wrong with every game they chose to accept or reject. We just have to live with this if we want this store to be curated at all.

To state my point: I might be intersted in this one (wishlisted for now) but I am completey uninterested in complex cRPGs. What does this mean? We have fifferent tastes - that's all it means. It does NOT mean that the games you suggested are bad or that nobody is intersted in them. It just means that it's not my cup of tea ... probably not the reason they are not on GOG yet though ;)
So far there's a lot of room for improvement. I hit a softlock within my first few hours of play - couldn't advance dialogue. Also room for quality of life improvements. So far dialogue writing is mediocre. character design is good

Yup, you're right. It's only my subjective opinion. I just collect crpg legends here and, as these games have great replayability factor, I'd prefer to buy them here.

But I've already got one of them on Steam and sooner or later I'll get the others there. It's just sad that I'm not able to purchase here. I'm even fine with paying more and also with re-purchasing here, but no chance for that.

Regarding decisions - there are titles GOG rejected and changed their mind later. The obvious result of such policy is loosing most of profit, which is made shortly after a game release.
79/100 (based on 10 critics) on metacritic.com.
Can't believe it, the game should be beyond good then.
For anyone who may be wondering, "Murder by Numbers" is also a song by 1980s English band "The Police" on their final studio album "Synchronicity":

I thought these type of puzzles are called "Hanjie". Where does "Picross" come from?

Depends how many votes, if very few it just reflects the developers+family.

It's not about "User" votes but critics' (curated game magazines/internet sites). Check https://www.metacritic.com/game/pc/murder-by-numbers/critic-reviews
I think I'm close to ending the second case. So far I'm quite liking it. It's definitely as much a puzzle game as it is a VN so I wouldn't recommend it to those who don't enjoy these kinds of puzzles.
