Mob Rule Classic, the gangster-themed city-builder, is once again available, DRM-free, on GOG.com.

This is the definition of organized crime: as an up-and-coming mobster, you get to build and manage all the illegal operations that will bring you the money and power you covet. Grease the right palms, scare off the competition and seize control over all the booze, prostitution, and gambling rackets in the neighborhood. Just watch your step when going to church.
Welcome back....

.... now put a big f**king oven in my soup kitchen and start breeding some woykuz
Good new ! But like every good oldies release why not put all the languages ???
It was free on Steam up until 30th June. I wonder why GOG didn't get the same deal?

Because they're different stores?

Presumably, System 3 simply ended up changing its mind but has now (after the delayed release of Constructor) decided it needs the extra money.

We got Constructor Classic 1997 free here for a limited time while it's only ever been "free" at Steam via a pre-order bonus with Constructor HD. So I guess each store got one free title for a limited time. I'd say I'm more than happy with that. :)
I know that Mob Rule is not as good as the original Constructor. Does anyone consider this game a good game in its own right even consider it as more of a spin-off to Constructor than a sequel to it. What do you think?

I am still glad it came back, bought it to complete the "old franchise".

But System 3 seems to have dropped the ball on the HD remake. Incomplete, many bugs, PC port from the console version, DENUVO (why? The game wasn't even finished on release?)...

Do not expect the HD remake to make it to GOG, at least not for the next few months. Maybe if System 3 can kill all bugs and make it "complete" and bug-free and kick DENUVO after the "big sales timeframe". Honestly? I have low hopes for this game...

HunchBluntley: You should be careful when making jokes like that -- they might take you seriously and actually bring that one back. [shudder] =P
Let's hope they do! >:D

Obviously, it's preferable to have it available here as well and I'm glad that GOG has kept all the old reviews. :)

Actually, I think that it won't be long until we see Constructor HD here on GOG considering that it was a major faillure on Steam, hence the re-release of the Classics here.

I don't know if it did well on consoles, but I heard that it was even removed from Xbox online store.
Please add all the languages in the installation.
Oh it was removed before and now back. nice. At least it registers as I own it unlike Fallouts :(

Thanks for bringing Mob Rule back and for adding it with the same ID so that it's shown as owned!
Glad to see it back, I'll finally be able to buy it ! :)

But a little question : has the issue of the screen scroll speed been fixed ? I saw that in a review, but nothing about it being really fixed, not even talking about an official fix : see this thread for example, the only useful workaround (= downloading the suggested patch) seems to disable skirmish since it switch to "Street Wars" version.
Is there any chance for an official fix ? I remember Rage of Mage games were having the same issue at launch, and GOG fixed it for the first one.
