Bandicoot535: Hello !
According to reviews, the creation tools require an Internet connection. Is that still the case?

Thanks for asking. That's a more positive answer than I was expecting tbh.

I wonder why GOG continues to list games that needs online connection. We recently had this with DOOM Eternal. Why don't they just FIRST remove the online requirement for everything and THEN put it on sale?

I totally agree with you. It seems like they planned to launch these games at specific times. Just a hunch, though. But then again, Mindseye isn't exactly a game that everyone is eagerly waiting for. So, pushing back the release to sort out the online features first shouldn't really be a big deal.

I suppose the second worst option is apathy, especially for a "bad" game like this (did GOG only accept it because of because it had a AAA budget?). I think they've held back games before to fix stuff, despite the planned launch time.

Worst option?: Maybe it's an attempt to hinder piracy by allowing some DRM

Probably don't want to piss of devs or publishers by "asking for too much", too.

Maybe staff are overworked and don't have time to check everything out or forget things.

Could be a mix.

Naturally I'd encourage refunding this game until it's fixed.

Mindseye got update wonder if they fixed it.
If the creation tools have full-blown dialog overhauling available, possibly even made easy to do custom screenplays, I'll buy it out of curiosity. Otherwise it's a pass. It looks like a hundred other games I've skimmed halfway through then tossed.
Since the update.
DRM requirement been removed for the Creation Tools ?

Nah, I checked yesterday. I'll hold onto the game and let everyone know if that feature goes DRM-free.
