BKGaming: This game looks interesting... though I know nothing about the Warhammer universe. Wonder how difficult it is to figure the lore and such in game.
I'm wondering the same. I recall playing the original Dawn of War when it first released and loved it, and the base game of Space Marine for Playstation 3, but that's the extent of my experience. They were both enjoyable but I honestly have no idea what's going on story wise.

That said, this looks like a very nice release. :)

tremere110: Can't it be both? ;)

Some of those orks can really bash people with their gut while boarding!
I really, really, REALLY do not need to be imagining what navel battles look like in reality. I think I'll pass :P
Where is the Mac 1.0 release?
"Warhammer"?
Congratulations to GOG for landing a brand new Warhammer title.

Marioface5: For those who don't know, you can grab the (temporarily) free DLC even if you don't own the game by getting it as a gift.
Cool, thanks for the heads up! ;)

Zoidberg: "Warhammer"?
It's a Warhammer Fantasy based game licensed from Games Workshop.

Yeah, tru dat. :P

The games that have been released on the basis of that, their quality go from correct to crass. Maybe this one is the former.

And if they do a good job with the IP it gets taken away from them.

Warhammer and Warhammer 40k are essentially the same lore-wise. I know someone will argue, but usually 40k is refereed to simply as "Elves in Space" or whichever race you prefer. Bottom line, you need know nothing about any prior lore to immerse yourself in any of the offshoots. It is so expansive to begin with that just about anything fits. For example, Caiphas Caine story's are exceedingly different in tone and setting from Eisenhorn novels yet they are told from the same lore perspective.

But to the original question, no difficulty at all. Follows the same basic fantasy principles established by Tolkien and others... If you are green or furry or have extra limbs, bad. Otherwise, good in a tough love sense.
