Think green.

Infectonator 3: Apocalypse is now available DRM-free on GOG.com, 10% off until May 17, 5pm UTC.
They got the hunger, the aggression, and the wicked looks, but you gotta be the brains of this operation. Infect the world with your zombificating virus, splice DNA to create over 35 new varieties, and separate the humans from their brains in over 200 interactive levels. They weren't using them much, anyway.

tremere110: The original versions were very grind heavy because they were free to play. You eventually hit a pay wall where it would take forever to earn enough to unlock stuff. How is the grinding in this version?
avatar
Exportforce: Did you even play the game longer than 5 minutes ?
Yes you had to grind a bit but you could clear both prequels in less than maybe 2 hours.
There was absolutely no need to buy anything.
Couldn't clear the mobile version in ten hours - don't know about the flash versions since I never played them.
This game seems really fun with zombie Trump and the other pop culture references, but it needs absolutely the achievements.

Fairfox: ...there were two previous versions of this?

tremere110: More than two in fact. The first two are free to play mobile games.

actually, as mention earlier, the first two games are free flash games (see Kongregate or Armor Games, or links in yogsloth's post). and they are quite good (no paywall)

the mobile games are based on the flash games

Instabought, very happy that there's now an offline build of Infectonator, they're quite fun and there's nothing else quite like these games. =) I've replayed the first one + Christmas version countless times on Kongregate

Sounds like I ought to give the flash prequels a try as a sort of demo. Someone has been aping the Rebuild series development cycle. ;)

Hmm. Looks interesting. Wishlisted fo now.
I remember playing and beating the original some years ago. It was good enough as i recall, although getting past a certain level was difficult (first 20-40 days or so)
I remember playing the original games on Newgrounds, for free, for a few minutes, before getting bored.

Yay GOG release?
I used to play the first one. It was short, mindless fun, which was exactly what I asked from this type of game.
I remember one of the powerups was Michael Jackson dancing Thriller, I wonder if they kept that.
Hahaha, this seems very promising.
Thanks for pointing out to it!
Yet another game that doesn't carry over the achievements from Steam. For releases older than Galaxy achievements I can understand, but recent ones... y u du dis, devs?

They push so hard to make us use Galaxy, I can't understand why they don't push the Devs to deliver the stupid achievements as incentive.

And especially this type of game, mindless, short fun to waste some time with, benefits so much from achievements. In fact I won't buy it because of the lack of them, because I know I will throw it aside before I get my money's worth otherwise.
I really hope nobody buys this crapware! I learned from that developer the hard way over a year ago. And this is a humble effort to save you from making the same experience.

It was October 2016 when I bought Infectionator: Survivors on Steam when it was on sale and thought: sounds like an interesting game. The sad story is: the developer abandoned the game already. The last small patch was released in August 2016 and in the end of Nov 16 the dev added Steam Trading Cards. The next sign of life was the 12th April 2018! just to use this forgotten channel of a long forgotten game to announce the next game ready to be left for dead (and the glorious possibility to pay money for a soundtrack dlc). Of course, to make it look nice, there have been very few adjustments to the game and that's all.
It was announced that Infectionator: Survivors will be moddable. The very basics exist but it is an undocumented sad joke. He even mentions in the Steam discussion forums he had great experienced with modding in the past but it seems it wasn't important enough for us.

Trust me: the new game will be treated like the game before: he grabs your money and leaves you. So Please: spend your money for a game that is actually worth it.
