One deal to rule them all.

Hand of Fate 2 is now available, DRM-free on GOG.com with a 10% launch discount until November 14, 6PM UTC.
Ah! Greetings, stranger. Come have a seat and let's play another hand, yes? Just remember, my friend: This is a high-stakes game, where weapons, companions, and monsters will enter the fight as the cards dictate. More options than before, more danger, more rewards. So build and utilize your deck wisely, now, because the fate of empires rests entirely in your hands...

Watch the trailer.

Does GOG have a stance against Soundtracks or what?

Just like the first game, there's no purchasable OST here, meanwhile on Steam it's available for both games, and to think this is a freshly released game not something that came on GOG later on.

Not buying anything until I'm able to get the same content as the other store.

WOW!

OK, question to the devs: why the fuck is the game 2€ more expensive here than on Steam?!!!

Lone_Scout: Instabought. I was waiting for this moment.
Anyway, the game seems to be in a somewhat "rough" state right now, almost beta...
I will wait for an update before playing it. Meanwhile, I will finish the first one...

JudasIscariot: Did you play the game already? Before we released the game we received an updated version of the game from the developers that should fix some bugs that they found :)
Good on them! :)
Instabought :)
Glad to see this here, though I'm hesitant about buying it for now. I enjoyed the first game up until the final boss, but the insane difficulty spike killed it for me. It felt like they just didn't want you to be able to finish the game without wasting time hoping to do so through pure luck. That's how I remember it, anyway.

ShadowWulfe: Did Hand of Fate 1 ever get adequately updated on GOG?
Yes?

You can pass this as joke: Cause you paying for privilege of being a filthy pirate and to be over thrown by devs by delayed or non existent updates :D

Also, I suppose devs avoid GOG forums for whatever reason.

Did the first game ever get that last dlc? I saw it on steam but never saw it come to GoG.

It's mostly up to date.

GoG's version is 1.3.18

Steam's version is 1.3.19

The last update is a workaround for a specific bug with the Unity engine.

Well, we are missing the soundtrack if you want to count that as DLC. There were some free DLC-like extra content included in the regular patches - GoG has all of those.

Otherwise the only DLC is Wildcards.

blotunga: So any time the first one gets bundled with the DLC? I hate buying bits and pieces of games.
Yeah I was kind surprised to see HoF 2 appear (already now), I guess I was expecting some kind of HoF Gold first, and also at it seems to be the HoF DLC doesn't seem to be much discounted usually, while the base game is sold for peanuts.

Anyway, this at least eases my mind that apparently the first HoF is "safe" to buy now, in the sense that they are not bringing new DLC to it. Right? Right? So now I know I will be getting the whole package by buying the HoF base game + DLC. The game is still in my wishlist.
Prices are a bit off, i'd say (RU region):
---
steam: 463rub
gog: 699rub
---

I'm ok with 'premium', but that will not help sales i fear.

GOG used to be good with these things, releasing games with all DLCs and all that... nowadays who knows, with Pillars/Tyranny lacking upgrade tiers, lots of games with all sorts of DLCs spread around. I don't trust to buy any games anymore until the sequel is out or the studio closes down (sad truth)...

There was a misscomunication between us and the devs regarding the prices in EUR and RUB. But it's all fixed now. If you bought the game for the higher price on GOG, just reach out to our support about it.
