Welcome to Pirates Cove, Dungeoneers!

UPDATE: A new threat emerges: Ice Cream Headaches

A new bundle of adventure arrives, as it should, with tons and tons of NEW: new quests, monsters and bosses, new Dungeoneers for the guild, loads of new loot, more Bardic tunes, and a new way to play with the brand new Favour mechanic.

The Ice Cream Headaches adventure pack is available now!

Guild of Dungeoneering - Pirates Cove, a downloadable adventure pack for the dungeon crawler with a 180-twist, is available now, DRM-free on GOG.com

The expansion ships free of charge to everyone who pre-ordered the base game. You can also pick up Guild of Dungeoneering at 30% off until Tuesday, September 29.

In Guild of Dungeoneering, the adventure is you. Or rather, comes to you. It gets in line until you're good and ready for it. Are you ready? Quit being a helicopter-hero and let your Dungeoneers do their own thing, your job is to provide them with the ultimate playing field. Collect unique cards, enjoy some roguelike progression, and a bit of deck-building and craft the perfect adventure. Whether things go as planned, or hilarious wrong, get ready to send some interns to their deaths.

The Pirates Cove expansion features a whole new region of adventure and 21 new quests to swash and to buckle. 3 new Dungeoneer classes await rescue (including the Drunken Sailor and H20Mancer) and two handfuls of new monsters and equippable items are here for a breath a rum-laced air.

Yarr, welcome to the Pirates Cove, available now, DRM-free on GOG.com
look forward to this. Its not a play all night game but great for 15-30 minute blast
Zeffyr?
GOG is on the roll this week... Damn so many releases.
O.K... How long now that we will see some new triple A games releases here on GOG? hmmm.... One can hope...
I bought the base game shortly after release because I wait for reviews.

Since this continues to punish those that wait for reviews by offering it free to those that don't, I will wait for a deep discount to continue the adventures of my guild.

Nice. Pirates are always a good thing. (In games anyways.)
I pre-ordered Guild of Dungeoneering and found it worth the asking price; it's a nice short spurt tile board game with roguelike feel. While the pre-order exclusive free-ness of this DLC is a bummer and somewhat arbitrary I do appreciate that it's here and I can play it immediately without purchase.

Incidentally the current promo price on Guild of Dungeoneering makes it equivalent to the launch deal (at launch it was $14.99 including DLC, now it's $15.48 including DLC) so that nullifies any pre-order benefit.

Nice DLC, but if you had already completed the base game, you must start a new game, since nothing new will appear in the saved game.

Can anyone confirm this? I know you need to get to the Jungle to find the map, as per the game's website.

Also, is anyone else unable to play this due to the updated base game's file coming up as "corrupted" after it's downloaded? I've downloaded it twice, so it shouldn't have been an issue with the downloading itself...

EDIT: Seems direct download fixed the issue (though it was much longer than time GOG Downloader usually takes. (And, no, I won't "try Galaxy-DRM", thanks. It's already reported to have messed up non-Galaxy installations of Renowned Explorers: International Society.)

Confirmed by the devs on Steam, actually. If you start a new game, you have the option to play through again normally and unlock the Pirates Cove as you go, or to turn on a "shortcut," which gives you a guild with most Tier One options unlocked and all of the first area completed, which allows you to go straight to the Jungle, pick up the map on your first quest, and go to the Cove. I played the first couple of quests in the new area; it's a nice addition to the game, but definitely more of the same. Which, if you like the game, is not a condemnation. :)

Cool. I got confirmation from them on Twitter too. ;)

I'm glad I didn't hit the jungle in my Let's Play, so I won't have random buildings unlocked!
Looks interesting.Missed initial launch. Wishlisted for now.. waiting to see what weekend promo holds first..
Steam offers a Linux version of the base game - any chance you can offer it, too? Don't want to buy the game on Steam ... :/

Edit: Steam does not offer a Linux version - sorry for the confusion; must've seen it wrong.

What Linux version? The only system requirements I see are Windows and Mac.

true.... if this happens more then why would one pre-order ?
anyway i pre-ordered it back then cause it seemed okay, i also got a redeemcode for the soundtracks back then so i could get some off the price.
