Arcade fire.

Gekido Kintaro's Revenge is now available DRM-free. Get it 20% off until December 17th, 8 AM UTC.

Making its PC debut after arriving on Switch earlier this year, the classic beat 'em up brings back nostalgic pixel-art fighting and two-player co-op. Follow Tetsuo through his undead-punching adventure using his mad martial arts skills and penchant for unlocking doors.
*Gekido, come forth!*

Looks like a fun game, just like the good old times.
Another new game, looking like an old game. :(
Gekido was a rather fun Beat'em Up on Game Boy Advance, far from the best but still very enjoyable. Though it looked (and played) more like a fan-made project than an actual commercial release...
Does this game have a 21:9 ratio? Or is it even wider? It looks a bit strange in the video and on the screenshots.
However the art style is nice.
This game looks quite interesting. I wonder if it runs under wine...

That would be this title. However, name Gekido was familiar to me, that's because there was a Playstation game, and this is sequel to it.

This is a re-released of a 2002 game. First to Switch and now to PC.

Thats the hidden power :D
many old games were good games, played a few beat em up games on my old pc and AMIGA, long time ago, i switched to point and click after i discovcered the games, also started to play rpg ( baldurs gate)
and tb ( turnbased games) they were more fun and did not require lightning fast reflexes my joystick / gamepad skills were pretty bad :D

Anyway, seems the game is 8 and up

Works on:
Windows (8, 10)

I wonder why no win 7? i automatically assume the game is made using Unity ( Unity is taking over . more games made with unity are coming up) so why no export to win 7 ? Ahwell....

aha, but why not for win 7 ? win 7 is still alive and kicking i can understand if they drop it after its dead and buried, but its still very much alive. anyway i am sure they could have borrowed a win7 pc from a relative , or friend to export and test for win 7.

Exactly my thoughts, but its not playable on good old windows 7 (+_+) , unless they 'havent tested it " becuase they dont have a win7 machine ٩◔‿◔۶.
Anyway still sad to see more games not being released for win 7 ..... (◕︵◕)

Now, This is something rare. I cannot think of any past example where a Gameboy Advance title got remastered, expanded and then released on both consoles and on PC. I do find the lack of proper regional pricing annoying because of that. Will wait until it gets discounted. As literally anyone can easily emulate both of the Gekido games on PC or on their phones since the were released for the PS1 and GBA respectively. I have to wonder if they are planning on finally completing the trilogy. As a third gekido game was originally supposed to be released for the PSP and then it never came out.

From the devs twitter:

The game is actually only on GOG, featuring achievements and leaderboards, using GOG galaxy its easy and totally free. The game is actually compatible with Windows 7 64bit, once compatibility with Windows7 32bit is confirmed we'll adjust store details accordingly. Thanks ❤️

Awesome, GOG is doing a great job with these PC exclusives directly from the Nintendo Switch, with full Galaxy support.
Well done!
Interesting! This is a GBA game over a decade (I played on GBA and later emulator). This 'remastered' version seems to improve the cutscene, new mode, gallery etc. The original game supports cheat code / password. Do not know if this version keeps it.

Another initeresting thing is the action is quite like King of Fighters. Sounds like a beat-up KOF style game.
How many playable characters are there? If there are, do they play differently?
It’s odd, I’ll say that this is highly overpriced for a decade+ old game, yet I’ll go buy it for the same price on Switch.
