Cards are an integral part of any TV show and FORCED SHOWDOWN is no different. Only, instead of containing lame jokes, song cues, and reminders of the contestants' names, here they feature creatures, abilities, spells, and pretty much everything you need to survive the deadly arenas you are thrown into. Since the daily challenges and tournament rules will be constantly changing, so must you if you are to please the crowd and claim the show's prestigious prizes. Down in our Gladiator arenas one can find useful items and potential companions but also unphotogenic monsters and cunning traps. Build a powerful deck, show the other contestants your war face, and enter the constantly shifting arenas of FORCED SHOWDOWN, DRM-free on GOG.com. The 12% launch discount will last until April 5, 19:59 BST / 11:59 AM PDT / 2:59 PM EDT.
Neat release. GOG has been rocking it. Maybe my perception but there was a lull for a while but its been fast and furious of late. Only recent complaint I had was the insomnia sale died before the weekend when many of us had more time to participate but that horse is beaten by now. Back to the positive vibes!
In the original post, GoG described it as 'roguelike'. So I added it to my roguelike gogmix.

But the word roguelike does not appear on the games page itself. Is this roguelike or not?

If I understand correctly the campaigns have perma-death, but as you play you unlock new cards and other resources that you'll never lose. So it's rogue-like in that you can permanently lose your character, but in practice the only thing you'll lose is the progress in that specific campaign. But that's just from looking at one 20 minute gameplay video, so don't take my word for it.

I have to say this looks very interesting. The 'card' aspect seems to be more an alternative way to level up at the start of each match than an actual card game, but it's still a cool idea.

JMich: If we do count rereleass, I think Nordic may take the lead.

Siegor: GOG and Nordic are like the Ross and Rachel of the gaming world.
Assuming this is a Friends TV show reference.

Since I never really watched friends unless it happened to be on in a place I couldn't leave, I'm guessing they had an On again, off again relationship.
