With the extra 5% newsletter discount it is at 75% discount for me. I am quite interested in trying the game out myself because of the controversy. The rating on Steam is decent so I am going to buy and give it a try. Hopefully I won't regret it.

The enhanced Version ran fine and pretty stutter free on my 5080 RTX. I never played the none enhanced Version so can't speak for that.

What instantly struck me was the main character being one of the best designed female warriors (or battlemages) I ever saw, even her hard past seeping through in looks alone. (So, baffled by the complaints just about that.) Don't know about any other supposed overbearing DEI that others complain about, but her looks are definitely not that.

But then, as I also mentioned in the coming soon thread, I saw that there's no manual saving. So hard pass.

Because the creator once said... the median is most important, if... i get hit so many times by a way higher price due to the games i... would... chose.

The median is only useful if i would pretty much dice-roll any game i ever buy, then it may be a bit below 20% i assume, but thats not how it works. Usually "more popular games" tend to be rather pricier than the median. Simply my personal experience... i can tell many examples.

Anyway, the game got one big bonus: They made the best overall-price ever for GOG... so Steam is NOT the cheapest shop for now. If anyone wants to get this game it seems the best deal so far (there might be exceptions, i lack the time to hunt down every single regional price).

I'm more bothered by the way the main character is written; she come off as annoying, like modern-day people, as noted in the first review. It looks like the same problem exists with the banishers too..


But other than that it looks like a fun game.

I spotted this game for the first time on PSN and thought it looked fantastic. The trailers and reviews looked good once you discarded the whole "girl protag" nonsense. I'm glad I can get it here on GOG instead and not have to worry about it disappearing later.

Great to finally see this game here, so one can try it out at their leisure.
