Its potential finally unlocked.

EARTHLOCK is now available, DRM-free on GOG.com, 20% off until March 15, 8PM UTC. Owners of the original get this edition for free.
Extended, refined, and significantly improved in almost every way, this Extended Edition offers a fascinating experience for veterans and newcomers alike. Taking after the JRPGs of legend, it transports you back to the deceivingly adorable world of EARTHLOCK, a magically-infused place where fierce turn-based combat and the quirky cast of characters will get you hooked right away. Unless managing your very own farm gets to you first.

GenlyAi: I don't wanna be that guy that keeps comparing prices between here (DRM-free) and steam... but I wonder why over there is quite cheaper (at least on my local region)? (and the version there is this improved one, not the 'Festival of Magic' one)?

EDIT: There doesn't seem to be anything extra here.
You sure? In my region the new Earthlock (no subtitle) version costs about 20 eur over on steam, same as here on gog where it's also around 20 eur.

The old Festival of Magic verion is still viewable on steam but does not seem to be available here on gog anymore.

My guess: apples and oranges.
Since in my region it's the other way around, the gog price is cheaper. Not that it affects me either way, since i received this as free upgrade.

Oh well...

Here in Brazil, on gog: BRL from 95.09 to 76.09 (20% off); steam: BRL from 57.99 to 46.39 (also 20% off). I'll check on the brazilian sorte Nuuvem if they have the game there. If they have, usually they can negotiate the best prices, which ended up later the same on steam.

So, what's the diference? Aside the title...

Kalanyr: I own the original version and I don't seem to have gotten this version for free. Mentioning this because not sure if that hasn't happened yet or because it's an error or oversight of some kind.
As of this posting I have gotten the new version for free so if it's still not showing up for you I'd say it's time to contact support.

EDIT: And thanks to the Devs for the free upgrade :)

The gamecard of "EARTHLOCK: OST":
The Original Soundtrack for Earthlock: Festival of Magic.

If it is true, GOG should tag us [1] OWNED for it.

[1] owners of "EARTHLOCK: Festival of Magic OST"

UPDATE:
10 hours after my post, I got EARTHLOCK: OST for free.

Dunno exactly, but from their steam post on the (now removed from gog) Festival of Magic game:

"Improved!?
Earthlock: Festival of Magic has received Mixed reviews.
We have read each and every review and spent the last 13 months improving the game.
We sincerely hope you will enjoy the new extended version!"

Kinda messed up if the owners of the old soundtrack don't get the new soundtrack added to their account.
It is now 2:39AM in Poland BTW, I actually have a second clock that displays Warsaw's time for this very reason!
I have a question. For the previous version of the game there were two DLCs available: DLC: EARTHLOCK Hero Outfit Pack* and a DLC: EARTHLOCK: Comic Book #1**. Are those included in this new version from the getgo, are they lost forever or will they become available for this version at a later date?

I'm mainly asking because so many changes seem to happen without rhyme or reason and I'm trying to get a better grasp on the way version transitions like this one get processed.

The DLCs should be included as part of the new game.

Thanks GOG and publisher, the OST DLC appeared in my "improved" version now, too.

Very nice update, thanks a lot again!

The "new" soundtrack is checksum match with EARTHLOCK: Festival of Magic OST.

Thank you for the quick reply.

[Edit:]
Unfortunately it would seem like at least the comic book has been reintroduced as paid DLC in the GOG version.
