Conquering the upside down.

Dungeons 3 is now available, DRM-free on GOG.com.
Return to the dungeon management saga to rule your underground kingdom alongside the dark elf priestess Thayla, then wage war against the surface lands with an army of despicable, smelly, occasionally unruly creatures. This entry introduces randomly generated levels for the first time in the series, for more unpredictable, chaotically evil fun.

Watch the trailer.

Ganni1987: My mistake I thought they did, I checked the Steam page and upgrade paths are available there. Looks like I won't be buying games made by Obsidian until this trend goes on.

Starmaker: I sympathize. I missed the soundtrack for Sundered, and lo and behold, it's available on Steam, too.

The shitty part is I'd have preordered it if I knew. I get it that GOG doesn't want to emphasize apparent preorder exclusives, but customers lose out either way and yet another time when GOG doesn't bring the former exclusives here. Seriously what.
You can get it on Bandcamp—DRM-free—in various audio formats, including lossless, here:

https://maxll.bandcamp.com/album/sundered-original-soundtrack

It's usually a good idea to check Bandcamp if you're looking for a soundtrack.

GOG still loses out on a potential sale, but you should be all set.

What was the preorder bonus for this? If it's ingame content, regardless of significance or value, I'm never going to buy it unless I find a torrent for the preorder DLC. If a soundtrack or artbook or something, it would be annoying if it's forever restricted to the preorder, but not enough to prevent me from getting the game.

The preorder bonus for Dungeons 3 was Dungeons 2.

Oh, okay. That's a relief. Looks interesting, and I'm always happy to see new Linux games, so I would be disappointed to end up disregarding it like so many others for something utterly screwy like in-game preorder-exclusive content. Thanks!

Nope. There was a Soundtrack for "Dungeons 3" (MP3 & FLAC) AND a "Horde Throne Room DLC" for "Dungeons 3", too.

What is up with this game? I thought it was a pretty big release, and it's advertised as one, but it can't seem to climb the sales charts here (it's still in 7th place just like yesterday). And on Steam it's not even on the "new and trending" list.

And yet, it seems to have really good reviews so far, so why does it seem to be such a flop sales-wise?

If it was released on Switch and had Mario/Zelda/pokemons inside, press (especially US) would scream with excitement :/

I'm guessing that despite the fact that it's quite cool series which has many fans, it's not very "spectacular" and "loud" in the media area, so it's rather existing on further places of top 10 of sold games. Which is a real shame, but well, we can't help for it that in US press (which has very big influence in internet) praises simplified mix of action game and cRPG only because it has Link and is released on Switch and ignores at the same time plenty of great games, because they were released only on PC (ev. on PC and Sony/Microsoft consoles) or because they were created by company which is not connected with Activition, Nintendo, Capcom etc.

also the whole genre is starting to get a bit saturated, and Dungeons may not be the best or most exiting entry.

I also think that colony management games in general today are taking over the more narrow dungeon management genre, but expanding them and perhaps doing 'things' better. Just look at games such as RimWorld, for example.

Personally, I didn't think the pre-order goodies were good enough to justify buying it before reading the reviews. And now that it has been released, I didn't feel like getting a worse deal than I could have gotten with a pre-order.

Damn it. Thought I was safe for a minute there. The soundtrack I'm not particularly concerned with, but if that DLC never becomes available separately, that will be a permanent dealbreaker for me. Complete version or bust.

Preorder goodies are NEVER worth buying before reading reviews, but I'd damn well better get every bit of ingame content when I buy everything that's up for sale for the game. As such, even the most innocuous ingame preorder crap means no sale, ever. Though I've thought about pirating the preorder DLC and buying the game if it's sufficiently innocuous that the devs would probably not have anticipated an absolute stance like mine and gone ahead anyway. (If it's something significant, I'm not giving them any money just on principle.)

I would not be too excited about the in game DLC. It seems to be optical only (=your Horde Throne Room looks a bit cooler than the normal one), with no real impact on a playing level.

But I know what you mean, I "lost" the pre-order bonus for "Vikings" oder "Sudden Strike 4" that way and hope, that Calypso delivers them again at a later time with a DLC upgrade option.

Hmm. That's not the worst. Might give it a try at some point, though if I want to actually stick with it I'll definitely be searching for a torrent of the preorder DLC, because even there, I absolutely hate having any portion of a game that I can never acquire. I'd probably actually pay for preorder DLC, possibly more than it's really worth, if I like and want the game it's attached to, but there's very little I hate more than knowing I'll never have the complete version no matter what I do.

Ask in the game specific forum instead of bumping a two year old thread, silly..
